  • Love the color and versatility
Color: Bark
Just received, and I think the green color is great. Some one else noted it was so ugly but I guess it's in the eye of the beholder. Yes it is very thin, but I wanted it that way to pack small so it doesn't take any room for traveling. I only take carry on. I can tell it will help keep me warm when needed. I love the multi purpose aspect of it. I know I will be using it in many ways. I have another buff that I love and has held up well. This one is the merino wool and longer so will have different uses. I can't wait to use on my next adventure! ... show more

  • Soft, comfy and warm
Color: Solid Garnet
Buff makes a superior multi wrap, and the Marino wool version is my favorite! Very soft and breathable. Retains warmth even when wet. My go-to multi wrap for a winter adventures!

  • LOVE it, but it's a bit large
Color: Black
I use the UV protection buffs in the summer and just adore the product. They're really versatile, so I can have a Sahrain, hat, headband, whatever depending on whether I'm running, biking, hiking, or trying to hide horrible helmet hair. As it got colder, the need for a warmer Buff arose. I poked around online and saw that there was this wool version. I ordered it before my last century bike ride of the season, and it arrived just in time. The high that day was 41 degrees and happened at the END of the 100 miles. We rode most of the morning in sub-30 degree temperatures. This thing kept me warm and because of the extra-long size it worked very well as a helmet linter. The only problem is that it's a TINY bit too big (my head circumference is 23 inches) so it was a bit droopier than I would have liked and will not stay put around my face. My summer Buffs fit perfectly so I wasn't expecting this. Despite the size issue (which is minor) I still use this thing constantly! After the century I have been using the Buff on a daily basis for winter bike commuting. It's super-warm, but thin so it fits well under my helmet. I wear it every day, usually twisted around as a winter hat with a thicker brim over my ears. The wool keeps me toasty and even though I've done some biking in pretty cold temps already this fall, I've been toasty warm under the helmet. I definitely recommend this product, but if you have a smaller head than I do and want to use the wool Buff as a balaclava I would be careful as it may be too big for that. ... show more

  • Not a great face covering
Color: Black
Not sure why this is so boosted for this purpose. I got this because people gushed about it on social. It's relatively warm for its thicknness, I will give it that. But once I am actually out using it in 20F weather running, even with my large head, it's hard to keep over my nose, it gets soggy (inevitable I guess) and I have to keep pulling it back up, or consciously hold my face a certain way to make sure the pressure stays on my nose. Maybe I am supposed to slide the back up over my ears to help hold it there, but I have Airpods I nee to access while running, and so I don't want to do that. I'm going with the Tracksmith Brighton this summer instead because its a conical shape and not tubular like this, and so tighter over the face. Maybe this is a nice headwrap, or a good gaiter for runners who want to slink it up over half their head. And I have a big one, too. ... show more
