Description

This heavy duty steel junction box is well suited for a variety of junction and pull box electrical applications. Heavy duty 16 ga welded steel construction. Screwed on flat cover with key holes for easy assembly. Boxes with knockouts have easily removable concentric knockouts on all four sides for industry standard conduit sizes. Four wall mounting holes in back. Embossed grounding hole in bottom allows easy access and flush wall mounting. Durable ANSI65 grey powder coating. Complies with NEMA and UL type 1 rating. Ul listing pending. Ratings : NEMA 1. 24.0" Area (length by width). Cover included design. Knockouts, wall mount features.

Did what I needed it to do. Kinda tough to review a junction/pull box. It has the UL markings on the inside, so that’s enough to satisfy an inspector…don’t know if it’s actually UL certified though because it’s made in china. Minus one star for being made there.

This box is excellent quality as I would expect from BUD and the price was good. This is exactly what I was looking for. There are no pre-punched knockouts on the sides so I'll be able to place them exactly as I need them, etc. One side will have a 40 Amp 12 volt transformer mounted and the front will have a pair of 30 Amp single-pole-double-throw switches mounted. ... show more

My first time working with an electrical box and this box fits my intended purpose perfectly. I needed a large box to run some wiring through that would sit flush with the drywall on 2x4 studs. This fit the bill perfectly! I am slowly working my way through the project of adding a couple 220 circuits for the garage and a plug for my workbench. Still a work in progress but was so happy with this box that I wanted to get a review out for it as the one review with one star kind of had me worried. This box is of superb build quality and has a nice powder coat finish that will look nice enough in my finished garage. My ability to cut a proper hole in the drywall still needs some perfecting though. ... show more

Tis box is mounted next to a load center that I had just installed, flash-mounted, to provide power to my garage workshop. All the wiring is done surface mount, so I needed a way to transfer all the cables from "outside" the wall into the wall, and into the load center. So, I need a junction box that was 6" deep; about 4" of it could be inside the wall (so it can feed the wires into the load center) and the remaining 2" would stick outside the wall, where all the EMT conduits are connected, for the surface mount wiring. This box was perfect: it allowed me to drill all the extra holes I needed at the drill press without bending or deforming in any way (I just needed a step-bit for steel), it provided a lot of space for all the cables inside to be routed properly, and its standard 1/16" thickness worked perfectly with the rubber grommets needed to protect the wires. In summary, I am very pleased with it and I would recommend it for similar applications. ... show more

I used to outfit boxes like these with relay electronics for work. This one is made very solidly and feels nice. The coating is like a plastic powder coating, so very durable but kinda annoying to make clean holes through the box; the coating kinda peels around your drill site. If you want a real crisp look, should probably use a hole punch die. Screws have a flat and square drive, so a little wacky there, but work good and don't seem liable to strip. ... show more
