Description

This heavy duty steel junction box is well suited for a variety of junction and pull box electrical applications. Heavy duty 16 ga welded steel construction. Screwed on flat cover with key holes for easy assembly. Boxes with knockouts have easily removable concentric knockouts on all four sides for industry standard conduit sizes. Four wall mounting holes in back. Embossed grounding hole in bottom allows easy access and flush wall mounting. Durable ANSI65 grey powder coating. Complies with NEMA and UL type 1 rating. Ul listing pending. Ratings : NEMA 1. 24.0" Area (length by width). Cover included design. Knockouts, wall mount features.

It was what I was looking for to join two sets of 6-3 cables (a total of 7 or 8 spliced wires will fit inside this box). Knockouts came out as expected with no problems. It is solid and shape will not distort. I mounted it with four drywall screws through the back.

A great item for it's intended use. Sturdy.I just wish it had the a seal for cover to make it weather proof. I guess I'll just use some silicone to make it weather proof as I'm using it outside under the roof to mount the surveillance camera to with a electrical outlet in side the box because the camera needs something to plug it into to operate. ... show more

First off the UL listing is pending, but it is solid build. Note: This product is Not made in North America. A few changes for the manufacturer, the knockouts are over-pressed and very easy to break the next size ring, also the ground emboss isn't pressed far enough and causes a standard ground screw to stick out passed the back of the box. The screws provided for fine for the cover, but cannot be used for the ground emboss, as they don't have the right head profile (serrated washer combo head and color (needs to be green for quick ID). another change would be to add mounting holes on the sides of the box. ... show more
