Top Amazon Reviews

  • Love them with some alteration
Color: Scarlett Pro Size: US Women´s: 07 / US Men´s: 5,5
Brand new out of the bow I would have given these about 4 stars but with the help of reading other reviews giving these skates just a few adjustments they are worthy of 5 stars for a beginner/novice skater. The first positive for these skates has to be the adjustable toe stop which is less often seen for a skate of this price range. It really is an invaluable help because I feel each person has their own preference for stopping etc . The faux suede is soft and playable but still offers enough support for your ankles. Overall I have to say the look of these skates is super appealing and well done. What I changed/plan to change The insoles that come with these are flimsy flat pieces of foam, but having read the reviews I ordered an inexpensive pair of memory foam inserts and let me tell you it makes these skates a dream to use. That in combination with the ankle pads make these incredibly comfortable. I do also plan on switching out the wheels to some wider gummy wheels since these are rounded on the edges and not quite best for the skating I’m doing- but that’s not necessarily a negative more of a preference. The only real -negative- is that they don’t come with a skate tool but those are easily bought and rather inexpensive. All in all I love them so far and will update in the future about how they are holding up ... show more

  • GOOD SKATE FOR THE MONEY!!
Color: Scarlett Pro Size: US Women´s: 10 / US Men´s: 8,5
GREAT SKATES FOR THE MONEY!! My 2 daughters have popular brand skates that are $300 a pair which I have tried on and skated with. They are really nice and adorable!! I found these BTFL on Amazon and they looked comparable so I thought I would give them a try. Upon opening the box they looked so adorable and I couldn't wait to try them out ( having tried my daughters $300 skates beforehand). They fit just as good or better than my daughters skates!! Yay!! They are sized perfect in women's sizes. now to try them out!! They rolled pretty well out of the box but needed to adjust the wheels a bit as some of the wheels were a little tight or stiff. NEED TO BUY OR HAVE THE SKATE WRENCH TO ADJUST THEM IT DOES NOT COME WITH ONE (Wich is ok I just got one fairly reasonable on amazon). They rolled great after the adjustment. As you can see in my pictures I ordered chunkier pink wheels and pink laces (wich I also ordered on amazon) and they were pretty easy to change. I do like my chunkier pink wheels better than the ones the came with, but I'm a beginner and the wheels they came with said they were for advanced skaters. The main differences in the $300 vs these from BTFL are 2 less eyelet holes for your laces, not real suede leather ( but a VERY GOOD imitation!! ), white laces don't lay flat (they are the rounded kind), and wheels (wich are rounded for more advanced moves). Overall I am VERY HAPPY with the look, feel, and roll of these skates considering the great price. ... show more

  • I Love Them!
Color: Scarlett Pro Size: US Women´s: 09 / US Men´s: 7,5
Disclaimer: I’m a novice skater. Also, I’ve been skating in my BTFLs for less than a week. These Skates go above and beyond for the price point. This boot is super soft, comfortable and flexible. It’s seems comparable to the Moxi Lolly boot as far as fit and quality. I can’t speak on durability yet. As a person with long legs and poor squatting ability, flexibility in the ankle means being able to bend the legs easily AND keep the torso in an upright position rather than heavily leaning forward. It’s feels safer to me. If you’re feeling unstable, you can always tighten the trucks. Or if you want maximum stability to land jumps or you prefer the skatepark I think a stiff boot is generally recommended. I replaced the plate, trucks and bearings before trying so I can’t speak on those. But the wheels are very decent gummy/outdoor wheels good for cruising and very pretty. The laces are great and I love the large heel tabs that make these so easy to carry. More skates should have them! Cons: You’ll probably need to replace the insoles. They’re paper thin and hard but that’s a very affordable fix. These skates don’t come with a tool which you do need to at least loosen the wheels a little. All in all, these skates are seriously a steal. I can’t afford the price of Moxi Lolly’s or the guilt of real suede Hahahaha UPDATE: Two years later of mostly park skating These skates are still in pretty good shape for all they’ve been through. I will definitely be purchasing the same pair once mine finally give out. The boot is still EXTREMELY comfortable. If you want ankle mobility, these are a dream. The right toe has broken open a little but that’s what happens when you don’t wear toe guards, especially at the skate park. My laces also broke. Not from normal wear or poor quality, but from repeatedly sliding down concrete transitions. ... show more
