  • Don’t even question buying Brunt!!! Just do it!!
Size: 9.5
Ok so I have been struggling to find a comfortable work boot. I purchased Sureway boots because the reviews were pretty good. They are made well and soles are comfortable but it lacks toe room. I came across the Brunt Marin 8” composite toe and thought I’d give them a try. I must say the shipping was extremely fast. First impression was they are a little stiff but that’s expected with leather. First day I wore them I left the top eyelets a little loose so the leather would gain a little more flexibility. I work on a concrete floor 8-10 hours a day so I stay skeptical on footwear. These Brunt boots…. Wow!!! They are super comfortable with plenty of toe room but not so much that it allows too much movement. You can adjust comfort and size by removing or installing an insert just under the cushion inserts. Pretty cool if you ask me. Anyways… after 2 days of new boots on a concrete floor and walking 3-4 miles a day at minimum. My feet have not hurt once!! The tops are breaking in well so they are becoming even more comfortable day by day! If I had of known beforehand I would have never purchased a cheaper boot expecting good results. I’ll continue to pay a bit extra for Brunt! You don’t have to take my word for it. Try a pair. Oh and I didn’t add any oils or softener to the leather beforehand. My hats off to Brunt for producing a great quality product! ... show more

  • Amazingly comfortable
Size: 11
I have used just about every brand of boot that there is. I usually trash them in under 8 months even with conditioning them monthly. So far im two month in with these and they don’t even show wear yet. The soles are soft foam with a rubber layer to prevent fast wear. The insides are soft and comfortable. (One or two day break in period). They are light in weight but warm as can be. It is currently 20 degrees outside and I’m using a single pair of regular socks. The upper eyelets are a strong abs plastic which let you get the upper part of the boot tight. I like when i kneel down the composite toe doesn’t dig into the top of my foot. Overall i will buy another pair when I’m in need. I might even buy a 6” pair to wear outside of work. I recommend to all blue collar guys who don’t want feet pain. I’m 5’ 11” & 213lbs. They are true to size. I ordered size 11.5 ee and they fit perfectly. Snug enough but with enough room on the inside. After the leather fully breaks in and the leather loosens up they will still be perfect. Go give these a shot. They even came with a rag to wipe them down after the day if you chose. ... show more

  • These boots are awesome!
Size: 10
These carbon toed work boots exceeded my expectations. They are unbelievably comfortable and I have had many comments on how stylish they are. I highly recommend them. They are a great value. Additionally, for those like me who travel a lot, you can go through TSA security in them without setting off the alarm on the metal detector. The steel toed I replaced withe these always set the alarm off. ... show more

  • Not the best for welding.
I like these moc toes, they're comfy, lightweight and look amazing. However iv had them for about 2 weeks. I'm a field welder and ironworker for a construction company. I'm surprised to find out a some hard spatter had melted through my boot. This has never happened with any of my leather comp toes or steel toes. ... show more

  • No more sore feet
Size: 10
Love these. I work in sewage plants and they last about 6 months. My feet stopped hurting. Great idea for the insole to come out to fit better with winter socks. Not completely waterproof but last longer than the rest I've tried over 20 plus years in construction. Light weight.

  • 1st Pair Defective, 2nd Pair Is A Winner
Size: 10
Got the 6-inch Pair the first time and the composite toe edge dug into my smaller toes on the left boot. I thought after breaking in everything would be OK. Nope. It got worse and was very painful. Contacted the company and they said to return them and get another. Bought these 8-inch ones and never had that issue. The reviews that talk about the leather being stiff is no joke. The first thing i do for any boot, even if it is supposedly waterproof, is to throughly apply several coats of silicone waterproofing spray. It helps keep them cleaner and allows a quick spray with the garden hose and sometimes a quick hit with a brush to make them look decent again. The breaking time is probably double to triple the time of any other $150 to $250 boot I've purchased. These boots are light on the feet, don't easily hold dirt and small rocks in the tread, are quiet to walk in, and look good. Silant: If you've ever had a boot that would squeak as you walked, either because the rubber got wet and squeaks on the floor or there is a manufacturing issue that allowed the boot to begin making noise as you walked, you know how annoying this is. These boots not only don't squeak but they are even near silent to casually walk in. If you use good heal-toe tactical walking then you will be silent in your approach. Grip: without the big legs on the bottom I didn't know how well they would handle climbing up a wet hill with a mix of grass and red clay. These are sure-footed and I've not came close to slipping in them yet. Comfort: No need to buy any expensive insoles for these (unless you specifically need them) because they are so comfortable and cushioned. After all day on concrete and gravel/dirt they continue feeling good on my feet. NOTE #1: To ease the breaking in, don't lace up your laces to the top but tie up 1 set down from the top. This will allow the rigid leather at the top of the boot to flex more easily and not feel like it is going to bruise your legs. NOTE #2: Give Lock Laces a try if you haven't already. They will allow your boot to flex more as you move. Just be careful about stretching the laces to tight when first installing them or you won't be able to feel your toes after a few minutes. As the boots get broken in and conforme to the shape and size of your leg and foot, you'll probably want to shorten the laces a couple inches.
