I walk miles a day on the job and needed a comfort and durability upgrade. I chose the composite brunt toe. I was pleased. I wore them on a weekend to break them in. That was all they needed to be work ready. They come with a protective polish. This will rub off on fabric so wipe it down with the included cloth. The insole is very comfortable. I see there is a multipiece insole which has a removable insert to expand the width from d to ee. I measure an e width but did not need to remove the insert. Innovative speed lace design. Don’t waste your time with these boots if you’re going to be putting in some serious hours. Uncomfortable from the start and a break in period that just seems to never end. The icing on the cake was the placement of the liner seam right where your heal sits in the boot. 3 - 10 hour shifts in them and that seam already open. You truly get what you pay for ... show more

I wear a size 9 in Nike, and a size 9 in these fits perfect. My only complaint is the ankle area and top of the tongue is very stiff and will rub your leg raw, unless you have longer socks, until broken in. Outside of that, they are very comfortable. My guy has been spending and spending on “work shoes” but these have taken everything to an alternative extreme! The fact that they have “toe reinforcement “ is any contractors dream. Waterproof and environmentally conscious, these have saved his feet! I’m happy that he’s happy 😃

I've seen advertisements that they don't require break in. That is false. The boot from the ankle to the top of this boot is stiff. Wire them the first day for 2 hours to break in. Where the top of the boot is is killing me. I've wore many brands the best being red wings. My feet hurting every day lately due to this body change has forced me to try something new. Other than the stuff upper the lower boot is very comfortable. I will leave a second review after a week. ... show more
