Ordered the BrosTrend AX1L for Ubuntu 22.04. Took about 15 minutes to get everything setup and running. It works very well; speed and range appear solid thus far. Be aware that for Linux this is not plug-n-play. A driver needed and has to be installed in order for this adapter to work. It is an out-of-kernal driver by RealTek rtl8852bu. ... show more

If you use Ubuntu you will not be disappointed. It works well and they provide clear instructions in order to get the driver working. I highly recommend for Linux users.

I bought this and fought tooth and nail to get it recognized and get proper drivers but once installed it never got me online, and I couldn't reboot my system until it was physically removed from the USB slot. Another USB wireless NIC from another company for much less price worked like a charm on my Linux Box. I couldn't return this fast enough. ... show more

Is this just another wifi dongle? Sure it is, with one big exception for linux. I typed in one command line on my Raspberry Pi 5 and Bros trend did the rest. I don't think I could have done what they did. I now have the on board wifi connected to an access point and the dongle is connected to my router. None of the set up for that was my doing. Works on Ubuntu 22.04. I did have some problems with the setup. I got an error and had to email support. They responded within a day with the solution. I have the Microsoft secure boot option on in the bios. Support explained how to fix the problem. The WIFI dongle works well.

I purchased two of these, the first one installed just fine on one RPI but i had problems with the installation on the 2nd RPI. I contacted customer support and was immediatly given access to a very knowledgable CS engineer who got me up and running. Turns out I had mismatched kernel headers etc. Instead of attempting to fix the header issue I decided to install a fresh RaspianOS image. All is good now! ... show more

Finally an AX wifi device that works with Linux. I had to download and install the driver from the manufacturer's web site, but their instructions were accurate and easy to follow.
