Description

Brooklyn Pickleball Co. was co-founded in 2021 by husband and wife team, Luke & Rachel. Both passionate pickle-ballers, but Luke is a sprint-down-the-court kind of player, while Rachel is more of a martini-in-one-hand, paddle-in-the- other kind of player. They set out to create a line of paddles that appealed to both, without compromising on quality, style, or design. Brooklyn Pickleball Co. paddles are created with only the finest materials, and designed in-house at their Brooklyn-based studio. At Brookln Pickleball Co., we are committed to delivering premium quality Pickleball equipment. Our paddles are dynamic, lightweight, and perfect for any level of player. Take your game to the next level and look good while doing it.

  • Great Looking Beginner/Intermediate Paddle
Color: Blue
This is a great looking pickleball paddle. We got this for my wife, and she really likes the color and pattern, and has gotten a lot of compliments on the paddle when we've played pickleball with friends. At this price point, you're getting into the intermediate range of paddles. Before this paddle, my wife used a honeycomb-core paddle from a less expensive set. Compared to that paddle, this Brooklyn Pickleball Co. paddle (polypropylene honeycomb core, carbon fiber surface) is a big improvement, and it will certainly be a huge improvement for anyone using a wooden paddle. In terms of performance, this paddle does have a sweet spot with nice "pop", but is dampened around the edges. It's a light paddle at 6.9 oz and favors finesse over power. Shots leave the paddle face uniformly and the paddle has good control. The paddle face is smooth and isn't great for adding spin, but that's not what my wife's after. The grip is soft and very comfortable, but like all white grips, it yellows slightly with use. Overall, this is a great beginner or intermediate paddle. It's light weight and has good control, and looks fantastic. ... show more

  • Lightweight but powerful
Color: White
So, I have been using some borrowed equipment and I needed to get another/my own quickly. This not only looks slick but has a much more satisfying feel when it connects with the ball (when being the operative word;) I am only using indoors. Super lightweight. I am a beginner but this is much more affordable than anything they had at Play it Again; recommended! ... show more

  • Could Be Worse-Could Be Better
Color: White
I’m new to pickle ball, so I really didn’t know what kind of paddle to order. This one is a quality paddle which served me well until I played with a heavier one and realized this one was less-than-perfect for me. There is nothing inherently WRONG with this paddle, but I wish it was heavier.

  • Great for the price
Color: White
Good upgrade from the wooden paddle without having to spend $200+ the grip is great too.

  • Perfect
Color: Pink
I am new to pickleball and love this racquet. It is lightweight and love the pink and white design. I have had it for a few months and it is holding up well.

  • It is what it is
Color: White
Brooklyn Pickleball Co knows all the buzz words to sell paddles. On paper this paddle has it all: carbon fiber face, poly hex infill, good weight. All for under $50! While I can’t verify whether the stated materials are what they claim, I will say there is virtually no surface on the face and generates the same spin as any other figerglass/graphite paddle in this price range (even a little cheaper). Also, the paddle sounds much closer to a fiberglass paddle than the much more expensive paddles it claims to share materials with. All that being said, if you are in the market for something in the $50 range as a step up or beginner paddle, this one is solid. But if, like me, you thought you could get a sweet deal on a carbon fiber paddle, this is not it. ... show more

  • Handle Isn't Good
Color: Black
I really liked the look of this pickleball paddle. Unfortunately the handle is too small and the grip was slippery while playing. I should have paid closer attention to the second number which is 4.1 inches. When buying a paddle, 4.5 is a better fit. UPDATE 1: I have now played several games with this paddle and have to wipe my hand between every play. Only one time I didn't and the paddle went flying out of my hand into another court. Other paddles I've used have a much better grip, even the cheap paddles. UPDATE 2: The owner of the company refunded my money for the paddle after reading my review which was very kind of them. I have since bought anti-slip absorbent grips for the handle and the paddle works great. If unfamiliar, there are grip wraps made for all types of rackets and paddles. Here are the ones I purchased https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LGCXM6Q/. The paddle itself is a quality racket. ... show more
