The only bad about this is that it's not good for crimping, a normal around the house pliers will do a better job at that. However, this bad boy does not rust!! This is always in my fishing bucket and I do not wash it and it's in really good shape still. It open split rings that is around 8mm diameter and higher. I have opened 7mm ones before but bit tougher to work with so not recommended for smaller split rings. The cutter on it is able to cut through 60 lbs wire leader that I use so really worth the buy. Just don't bank on it for crimping! ... show more

He loved how you can clip it on your belt and it’s nice having a cord attached so when you’re talking him out of fishes mouth you can just drop the pliers and they stay attached so you quickly have a free hand

Sturdy and easy to use to unhook fish or swap hooks on lures. The paint started to chip a little on some part after a lot of use. Despite that it is worth the price.
