Our 12 month old loves his new car seat. We transitioned to this car seat after using the Clek liing infant car seat, which we also really liked. We researched the current options throughly and settled on this one because of crash test performance, the fact that no flame retardants are used, and the slim design. There was no smell to the materials on unboxing and it was very easy to install. The seat fits in our sedan well and our son looks very comfortable when sitting in it. I also like the peace of mind with the anti rebound bar. I am very happy with this purchase and I feel that it is an excellent value considering the quality of the materials and the features of this car seat for the price point. I did a ton of research on every car seat out there, and this one was the winner for me. My 1 year old is very happy with it too! It is nontoxic, extremely safe (the roll bar isn't on many car seats yet), doesn't break the bank (like Nuna or Clek) and EXTREMELY easy to install. My baby seems comfortable in it, and so far it's been pretty easy to clean (though I haven't had to fully wash yet.) It's even not bad to fly on planes with as it's not crazy heavy, and Britax makes a rolling cart for it to wheel through airport. If you're on the fence, just get this one! ... show more

    • Definitely a nice care seat but very heavy

Overall we have enjoyed the car seat. We have had it just under a month now. We wanted a car seat that could accomplish 3 things. 1. Extended rear facing option 2. Easy to install 3. Easy to adjust straps This car seat does fulfill these options for us. It has the highest available limits for rear facing. It uses clicktight technology so you aren’t trying to pull a ton to get a tight install. It also does not require rethreading the straps to adjust the level. These are the pros for us. The biggest two cons are that the car seat is very very heavy and the fabric part is difficult to get on and off. 1. The car seat is so heavy that it exceeds the lower anchor limits around 35lbs (check the manual for exact limit). This requires you to install with the seatbelt which is not much more difficult because of the clicktight technology but the latch system is so easy. We also were hoping to have a car seat that was easier to install so that it would be easy to switch the seat over to a different vehicle. Unfortunately because it is so so heavy, it is not convenient to do so. 2. Our first convertible carseat only had two fabric pieces to take off when cleaning was required. They were also easy to put back on. This has several pieces and lots of little loops and parts that you have to carefully retuck the fabric. That’s fine but I was not expecting it. We had to wash the cover fairly soon after installing the car seat since our toddler had a bathroom accident. TLDR: We are glad to find a car seat that worked for extended rear facing and that is easy to install and use. We were surprised by how heavy it was and the time it took to put the fabric back on the seat after cleaning. ... show more

Love this car seat! The color is beautiful and the install was the easiest I’ve ever done! The click tight is where it’s at! My baby is 7 months old and small for his age, but we wanted to switch from the bucket seat because he was getting too heavy to carry around in it. I’m really glad we chose this car seat.     • Comparison with the Nuna Rava

I bought this to replace a 6 year old Nuna Rava that broke. Back when I bought the Rava in 2018, it was one of the only 50lb rear facing limit car seats and had the easiest installation. Of course, other car seat manufacturers would be following suit soon enough. This car seat is an excellent and more affordable option for those looking for the Nuna Rava. It actually is better, in my opinion because it: - is practically half price - has removable cup holders - has a removable and washable cover - has easier to tighten harness straps (I swear I had to injure my shoulder to get the Rava straps tight enough, especially in colder weather) - has a better way to hold the harness straps and buckles to the side as you're loading in your baby Literally the only things I don't like about it are the same two things with all Britax car seats (I have two other Britax for my older kids): they're super heavy and the harness straps release button is hard to locate and activate. I used the Rava for 6 years, and it served its purpose well. But I'm kinda glad it broke (user error, not the car seat's fault) because now I don't have to injure myself getting my kid strapped in properly. This car seat has the two things I chose the Rava for: the 50lb rear facing weight limit and the super easy installation. But it's less expensive (in no way "cheap" though) and easier to use. ... show more
