  • Great value!
Size: 2011-2017
This product shipped immediately via UPS, and arrived quickly, much faster than the cross bars that I bought from another vendor and that was shipped via Fedex from nearly the same location. On the vehicle, these rails seem indistinguishable from the OEM version. They look exactly the same and are just as solidly built. They are different, though. Installation was easy, and just as with the OEM rails you have to cut the "weatherstripping" (which is really only cosmetic, and doesn't actually seal the channel below) to expose the threaded studs on the vehicle's roof that the rails screw to. Cutting actual vehicle parts is a bit scary, so there's no going back if you decide you don't want racks on your van later (I hate to think what Honda would charge for these) but the feet cover at least a centimeter of the cut ends, so measuring isn't that critical and the cuts don't have to be pretty. The big difference from the OEM rails is that the middle foot on each rail only slips over the two threaded studs on the vehicle's roof instead of being attached with nuts like the feet at the ends. This doesn't seem to affect how solidly the rails are attached (unless you plan to attach something to them that will pull up on the middle of the rails - say, a glider or a gorilla?) and it actually simplifies the installation, since there is no separate cover to slide over the foot as there is on the OEM rails, which risks scratching the roof as you slide them on. Strangely, the nuts for attaching the middle feet are included, and the instructions show the nuts being screwed on and tape being applied to the roof to protect it from the non-existent separate cover, but they end there before actually sliding the cover on. You can draw your own conclusions. Other than the mysterious steps for the middle foot, the instructions are very clear and easy to follow, installation was straightforward, and the rails look great and work as well as the much more expensive Honda ones. ... show more

  • Self-installed in 2 hours
Size: 2011-2017
Two semi-handy 40 year old women with zero experience installed these within 2 hours. Instructions are okay-ish, YouTube tutorials were the way to go. We used a circular saw to do the cuts. It survived a two week 2000 mile road trip with a huge luggage bag strapped to it no problem!

  • 2019 Honda Odyssey - Looks OEM!
Size: 2018-2024
I've been shopping around to find a good-quality roof rail for my van. OEM is the way to go to fit perfectly but the price is beyond my budget. Then I came across this product on YouTube whose owners have the same Van year/model that I have and found positive reviews. I view this as a midrange price so I took a gamble and purchased it. The roof rail arrived in good condition and looked and felt like it was well-built. Following the installation manual is somewhat not as easy (better watch YouTube instead) aligning the rail holes to the roof is a bit tricky but don't get me wrong, it does fit. Once installed, it looks like OEM and I'm very happy with my purchase. --Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Decent Quality
Size: 2011-2017
Good product. Decent fit. Directions are not the best. One may want to look at other instructions available from Honda before installing.

  • Required Tools: Patience
Size: 2011-2017
The most difficult by far was the installation to the vehicle. I found that it was easier if you start threading the bolts by four or five full turns and then moving on to the others on the same side, then finish threading and torquing them. This way you can maneuver the side rails into the perfect spots. Take your time and with a little patience it fits really snug. I would definitely buy this again!! ... show more

  • Look just like Honda parts
Size: 2018-2024
Don't usually write reviews but felt I should on these. I didn't follow the instructions for measure the trim pieces to cut. Figured out how long to make them to allow going under the ends and centers pieces as far as possible without interfering with anything. The first one was a bit time consuming, but the second one went MUCH FASTER. I watched a video on YouTube of the install of the factory rails, before and after I installed mine. I have to say the parts for the Brightlines look IDENTICAL to the Honda "factory" parts. I saved over $150 over the cheapest Honda ones I could find and they look the same. Great Purchase!!!! ... show more

Doesn’t fit at all. I received a replacement, it’s the same, holes don’t match.

  • Great product- terrible instructions
Size: 2011-2017
Instructions were comically incomplete and even out of order, but otherwise held up great for my cargo box on 2800 mile road trip, held on with Thule cross bars. Treat it like grade school and examine all the instructions first. Here are some tips for the instructions: - it says you need masking tape. Not so! Mine came with a gasket for underneath the middle pylon. The very last step says to use the masking tape where the gasket goes, with no mention of the gasket. By this time you will have already installed the rails. I only caught it when I discovered a large gap beneath the first rail. Luckily I hadn’t tightened everything down all the way - the instructions only refer to installing the left rail. D’oh! -as other reviews mentioned, there are plastic clips holding some covers in place that tend to clip together in shipping. When I pried them apart, some clips stuck to the top, some the bottom, all white plastic clips should be in the tops. Broke a couple of mine before I figured it out. Luckily there’s also a screw or two to hold them on, too. -one of the other instructions was out of sequence. -not too sure what an air saw is, but I used a hacksaw. Slightly bent the trim I was cutting, but you can’t see it anyway due to location. Probably is a better way to do it ... show more
