I hesitated to buy a standing lamp that required shipping because I thought it wouldn't be sturdy enough if it pole part came in separate pieces (compared to a single rod). I was skeptical when I ordered this because of the low price. I am extremely impressed with this product. It starts with how it is packaged. I have been in the shipping and transportation business for 40 years and it would be virtually impossible for the lamp to be damaged in transit. Short of being driven over by a truck it will arrive intact. I saw a review where they indicated it was difficult and messy to remove the lamp. Instead of tearing the tape simply use a sharp pocket knife and slice the tape between the styrofoam and the cardboard. I had only a few small crumbs of the styrofoam on my carpet. The instructions and diagram are easy to follow. There are no tools needed to assemble the lamp. The lamps are mounted on the poles you simply screw them together and into the base. The base is heavy duty and the poles are sturdy and solid. I have purchased much more expensive floor lamps that lean. A nice plus is they include three led light bulbs. All three lamps adjust to multiple angles making it very versatile for anything you are doing whether reading watching television or subtle lighting which I like for enjoying my 55 gallon aquarium. It is gold in color and looks like it is very expensive. If it lasts a reasonable amount of time with no problems it will be one of the best purchases I have made online for value and quality. ... show more

I had to switch out 2 of the bulbs, they were too bright for my liking, but the one is great for reading under. I got this because it reminded me of a lamp that my grandparents had and I have been a bit melancholy lately. Seeing this every day has lifted my spirits for sure, and honestly, I was amazed at what a well built lamp it is! I wanted the Hektar lamp at ikea but it was out of stock. This seemed like a good alternative. It’s a decent lamp, the construction does look a little cheap and not straight, but it does the job, isn’t heavy, easy to adjust.

I love this lamp, as much as I hoped I would. It is very stable, and each light switches separately. That means I can use the top one for light in the evening with a regular LED bulb, while the plant bulbs run on a remote timer all day. (Amazon has bulbs with built in time that run independently.) I had chosen a plant lamp tower, but I had to set it too far back to light my plant corner. Then I was worried about my dogs' eyes. This way, the light also comes from above as it naturally would.
