This Braun trimmer performs exactly as advertised and is outstanding - especially in comparison to the first trimmer that I purchased. I can't name the manufacturer, but N may be a clue - it was half the cost of the Braun but very poor in comparison. What I liked about the Braun is that it worked well without nicking my skin - can't say that for the other one as it really chewed up my neck! The Braun has several features that I appreciate: several attachments that are easily interchanged, a charging light that flashes while charging and winks out when charging is complete (no such light on the other one). Nice carrying case, simple to operate, and best of all, it really works without nicking me! I've used Braun shavers for years and have always been completely satisfied with their products. So far tgis trimner set has performed well. Batrery life is as claimed and precision is good. I will agree with others the adjuster wheel could possibly get moved while in use, depending how you hold the trimmer while using for hair or beard trimming with the gaurd on. I use this withoyt any gaurd as I like my hair short, so I can't speak to this as much, but could see it being easily moved by accident if you hold it with your hand over the wheel while shaving or trimming. I hold it in a different fashion. 4 stars only as this and its guard only going 0.5mm shortest trim make me have to use the hair trimmer without gaurd against its instructions to get my hair the shortness i prefer on my shave of my head, wish it went to .25mm or so on the gaurd but not a deal breaker. Just something to note if you intend to use it in this fashion ... show more

I bought this razor same as some people on here, it boasted a knick free and smooth shave. LITTLE DID I EXPECT WHAT WOULD HAPPEN when the razor arrived I would at first be hesitant to use. I’ve used the same crappy metal electric razor my dad bought me back in high school and shaving is always a hassle of getting cuts and irritated skin. HOWEVER upon using it today after agreeing with the girlfriend I had to shave the harry mess off my face I finally unwrapped the product from its casing. First off wow the amount of customization is a nice touch but I was going for a close shave so I went down to no guard. AS I BEGAN TO CUT THERE WAS ONE SENSATION, and that was SMOOTH. The razor effortlessly cuts down the hairs and it didn’t pull or knick me one time and I only ever had to go over an area a second time to pick up little leftover hairs. This cut was SMOOTHER THAN THE BOTTOM OF A NEWBORN CELESTIAL BABY and if you want to have a the best and most effortless shave of your entire little manly existence. Then buck up bucks because this shaver will do more than knock your socks off it’ll blow them OFF THE GOD DAMN MAP. Seriously though nice razor <3 ... show more

Comfortable in hand, and I haven't had to charge it since the first time yet. Instead of coming with a million different attachments like my old one, it comes with a smaller varied assortment of which the main ones being adjustable to meet your desired length. So less attachments, but more options. However my only complaint is with the precision trimmer attachment. I prefer a smaller trimming surface than the one that comes with this. This is a personal preference and may have no impact for your use. The precision trimming head works perfectly fine. Also included is a nice compact hard travel case for the trimmer with a trimmer head attached. It also comes with a second soft pouch that can fit the trimmer and all the accessories. ... show more

My lady likes a certain feel on my goatee (2mm and mustache 3 mm) and I can adjust in 0.5 mm increments based on look and feel. This model includes an extra fine head for extra life and the attachments work well. A plus for the extra 10$ is a space saving stand that shuts off the razor when used automatically. The design requires you to stroke up instead of down which seems odd at first because the 0.5 to 20 mm range of length puts the blade at a flat angle. I have used a bunch of different trimmers over the years, usually corded ones. Before embarking on a longer vacation, I thought to buy this trimmer I could charge before leaving. Now it is about 4 months later, and I love this thing. It is small, but not too small, and the settings simply work for me. A charge lasts long.
