Delivery was earlier than I expected , but I have ordered this item 3 times and the last 2 times I've gotten more lighter colored wood than dark if it was equaled out, and i received a few real thin pieces that i don't know what I'm going to do with because of them being too thin ,I would have given it a 5 stars if it wasn't for that . ... show more

    • If you are looking for thin pieces that are 2" x 12" then this is the box for you
This product is as described but not really worth it to me. My box was mostly 2" wide by 12" long and various widths. I was expecting more 3-6 wide pieces from the other reviews and pictures. I would return the item but there is a restocking fee so I'll just keep it and find uses for them. if you are looking for thin (1/8-1/2) pieces that are 2" x 12" then this is the box for you ... show more

After looking for 1/4 and 2/4 wood at the retail stores, I thought I’d roll the dice and see what this box was about. Just got mine today and there is some great wood in here. A lot of walnut, some maple, cedar, and oaks. Most of it 1/4-1/2”, and worth far more than $45 in lumber to “play with”.

Took longer for delivery than expected. However, when I contacted seller that I hadn’t received my package, I had a prompt reply and package then shipped quickly. I ordered thin scraps. Thickness varied from 1/8 inch to 3/4 inch. Almost all were roughly 12” long, anywhere from 3” to 10” wide. Several different species of wood. Some sanded and some not. I’m using these to write prayers and Bible scriptures on to place in between studs before insulation and Sheetrock on our new home. I started out writing on the lumber directly but now it’s the heat of summer. This is a good option to get to trickier spots and placed quickly while I prepare the wood at my leisure, at home, in the a/c. Great quality and variety for the price. Much better than cheap quality craft wood for virtually the same cost. ... show more

I wasn't sure exactly what I was going to get (isn't that the idea?). I was a little disappointed at first. There was a LOT of thin wood. So thin that it bends with even the least bit of pressure. It was probably half thin wood, and then half a little bit thicker. All 12" in length-ish, with varying widths and thicknesses. I did figure out that if you glue some of the thinner stuff together you can get an interesting plywood-type wood, and you can mix the colors. It worked out pretty well, so I'm happy! I wish I would've known ahead of time how much thin stuff would be in there because I probably wouldn't have ordered it. Oh well, live and learn. Still fun! EDIT: I'm a dummy and ordered the box labeled "Thin Wood" so I can't complain about that, haha. Came as described. Will buy again! ... show more
