After six years, the cushions on my existing Bose 25s were falling apart. On the left side, the fake leather had peeled back from the foam, and on the right side, the fake leather was quite literally disintegrating. Got these, and they're as good as new! The cushions seem to be slightly thinner, but I'm guessing that's because the foam hasn't expanded as much as compared to the six year old ones. Installation is a bear. It took me a good half hour. The other reviews that say that the cushions don't stay in place I'm guessing didn't install them correctly. I used a pen cap and a binder clip to assist installation. You *will* hear a snap, and you have to hear nine snaps. The last snap is the hardest. The way you can tell whether you've installed them correctly or not is to give a gentle tug on the cushion. If you the mounting flange also pulls outward, then it's not securely installed. Be patient. I found that when the flange isn't installed perfectly, when you pull the cushions outward, you can see a little indent where the tab is. Pushing the flange against the tab doesn't work. Instead, use your fingers (or a binder clip or a pen cap) to push on the flange on *either side* of the tab. That'll help the flange lock into place. ... show more

Read reviews prior to purchasing claiming they are hard to install and blah blah. Literally, just watch a video right above the reviews. You don't even need special tools like the knockoffs provide. The reason Bose doesn't include a tool...surprise...it isn't needed. Overall very happy with my purchase and had them installed in minutes. ... show more

These are Bose branded replacements. Work and look just as the original did when I originally bought them. Very simple installation. Comes with instructions just in case you can't figure it out.

It was easy to remove the old earcups and scrims, easy to attach the new scrims, and the earcups was only difficult to make sure it was pushed under the tiny tabs. But so much cheaper than a new set of headphones.

I use the Bose QC25 for my job and I’ve replaced the cups twice. Easy to install and makes the headset feel like new. Definitely spend the money and get these instead of some knockoff.

These ear cups are well made and still comfortable. The originals lasted six years. That's 4 hours per week for roughly 32 weeks per year. That works out to 768 hours of mowing for $36. That's a reasonable 5 cents per hour. And I'm worth it.

It may seem silly but just looking at the old cracked cushions kind of bummed me out. Now, it's like a brand new toy. Installation took a couple of tries but once you get it right, the stay on nice and snug.
