These are well-made boots. I wear them on longer trips in the tropics of SE Asia, where I live. I have leather boots I wear as well and they can be a bit warm. These aren't exactly cool, but they do breathe a lot more than leather. The boots are fairly light in weight, so are good for walking as well as riding. But not so light that they don't offer stability when needed. I like the look, and the side zippers so you don't have to fool around with laces. They have nice flat bottom soles, good for stable contact with the street while waiting for stoplights, etc. Some riders prefer curved soles that hug the gearshift and rear brake, but I prefer flat soles. I bought my actual size, and they fit snugly but comfortably. I can't comment on the protection they might offer in a crash as I've been fortunate enough not to test that aspect - yet. ... show more

I have wider feet and wear a size 10.5us to an 11us. These boots, size 11us fit PERFECT! They are extremely comfortable and needed almost zero break in. They are fairly stylish and the added leather pad over the toe to ensure the boot isnt damage by the shift lever is a great touch! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good boot at a great price. This gear saved my foot, I'm sure I would have been a meat crayon. Very comfortable and durable, easy to work in, and for the most part will securely stay on the rider. Very grateful for these boots and will be buying again

    • Great shoe, shoelaces way too long

Shoes are sturdy, comfortable, lightweight and cooler than boots I wore all winter. However, the shoelaces are way too long. I literally had about 18" of shoelace left after snugging them up. Even tying a double knot left a foot -- I mean a foot on each side of each shoe! What am I gonna do with a foot of shoelace in each hand? They gotta be uncomfortably tucked in. Not good. And, they are the flat cloth shoelace that stretches a little bit. My advice is to buy thick, round boot laces. I had a spare pair of 72" laces that worked much better. These boots look great and they are so very comfortable! I feel like I'm wearing clouds. They're the most comfortable boots that I own. They run an inch bigger than I expected (I'm a size 12 US) but that may come in handy while riding in the heat as my feet will swell.

From my experience, these shoes give you bang for your buck. I've seen similar shoes for an unreasonable amount of $$. The quality is good. They definitely protect you feet better than an average pair of shoes. I tried riding with some brand sport sneakers and it felt awful while shifting. With these my feet never feel uncomfortable. I'm a size 10.5 US. 183lbs, if that helps. The size 10s fit well. They don't feel any different from my normal 10.5 shoes. But if you have wider feet, maybe the 11 is better. My only "thing" is the zipper hasn't given me any issue, but the flap that covers it gets snagged sometimes. But I think that's just my foot placement being off right after I shift. Again, that's if I had to name a con to buying these. In my experience I've only had good come out of buying these Definitely give these a try. ... show more
