I did not even need the adhesive that comes with it. It is so sturdy that I could probably use it for a handicapped bar! It is on the shower door to stay! This is a great idea for someone like me who is not an install genius. The bar suction is very strong and stays secure. (Which is good if you eyeball things instead of measuring). My only complaint is that after about 3 weeks the suction may loosen and fall. This usually happens when I am hanging a damp towel several days in a row. It’s no problem to re-attach it to the wall. The installation kit also comes with 3M backed plastic disks for porous surfaces. I just like the option of being able to move the bar if I need to. I would NOT use it as a handicapped grip as it does lose suction. ... show more

I had tried several double sided tapes to install our towel bar on the glass shower door. Each would hold for about half a day and then fall off. This suction cup towel bar was easy to install and has never fallen off. I’ve had it up about two or three weeks now. It looks great and is very sturdy.

Loved this but after a few months the suction gives out and it falls off. After 2 years of randomly falling off it had the fall to meet it's end. This might be avoided by refreshing the suction before it randomly fell off.
