I'm a really old guy and have every intention of getting even older! This step stool will help me do just that. It is as sturdy as a steel I-beam, but is light enough to pick up, move around, and use in our kitchen. Full disclosure, it's a little bit heaver than I was expecting when I purchased online. Surprised by it's heft when the box arrived, after unboxing it and standing on the top step to put large plates in the cabinet over the fridge, I realized that it is as solid as a granite cornerstone on the Washington Monument without being too heavy for an old Nan and his wife to use daily. It's fantastic!!! It also slipped nicely into a small gap next to our washer combo unit right there in our kitchen. If you want to feel safe while using a step ladder, this is your baby!
