First off it’s just a pretty bed. It’s very sturdy. Easy to set up. I set it up by myself. It comes with wood slacks that have velcro on the end so it sticks to the frame of the bed. I thought that was convenient. I do not have a boxspring. This is with the mattress only.

VERY nice bed frame ! It went together easily and it’s VERY sturdy. The outside rails are very solid wood that is also nicely padded and there are metal supports in the center of the frame. The Head board is very soft, only thing the gold buttons look a little rusted other then that the frame fits perfectly, I would buy a spring board for more secureness being the wooden frames that hold the mattress are a little bouncy
