  • Medium Grain excellent quality!
Size: 2 Quarts
Firstly soil came sifted and damp in the bag. It was used to repot my shimpaku from nursery pot to a bonsai training pot that’s 4 times the size larger and it looks great. I just hope my plant will survive as it was super over root bound before. Will buy again!

  • Very Please
Size: 2 Quarts
Happy with product no complaints. Repotted my Fukien tea tree. Didn’t experience any leaf dropping or loss. My tree immediately took to the soil. The soil is like rock pebbles, which made me hesitant at first. I didn’t remove all of the original soil the tree was in which was your typical indoor plant soil. I did see in one of the other reviews to add Bosnia fertilizer to the soil since it’s inorganic. Which I did. The tree has been planted for two months and begin to sprout flowers this week. Maybe u can see them in the pic. I don’t plan to use this soil for my ficus and juniper bonsai. I plan on trying some of the organic soil from this store. Hope this review helps 😊 ... show more

  • Overall Nice Soil
Size: 2 Quarts
This is overall a good mixture for bonsai and looks nice in the pot. However the Akadama seems too soft and crumbles easily, which may make repotting more often. I also sifted and got a lot of fines out of each bag which makes good use for other projects. Cuttings, Mame, etc. I would still recommend product. Will continue to use. ... show more

  • Professional Bonsai Media
Size: 2 Quarts
This is the real thing, lava, pumice, and akadama. There isn't any organic matter in this mix so it must be fertilized. Fast draining but holds the perfect amount of moisture and makes it impossible to over water. It is all I use for my Chinese Elm and Fukien Tea Trees and they thrive on it. The second photo is a Fukien Tea Tree kept indoors in February in zone 6b. It may be hard to see, but it is flowering right now, in February in zone 6b. (Massachusetts) ... show more

I have used multiple different types of soil from Tinyroots and I love this brand. No crumbs in the bottom of the package, great quality all the way through.
