We bought this kit as a gift for a friend, and my daughter wanted one for herself. The kit has everything you need to get started, as described. My daughter really liked the apron, and I liked that it came with large painting placemat to protect the table. The paint sticks to the unicorns really well. I actually got this kit to turn it into a 12 days Christmas calendar -- I got little unicorn baggies, and stapled them shut to create the 12 days, and put the original box with all the little baggies into a bigger box for her as a 12 Days of Christmas calendar. Every day my daughter gets either 1 large unicorn/pegasus or a 1 medium unicorn/pegasus or 2 small unicorn/pegasus. She loves it, and it helps her pace herself painting them. I really wanted to give this 5 stars, but the metallic and neon/glow colors were all dried out. The regular color paints worked great though. This kit is super cool with tons of sturdy figurines, stickers, paint brushes, smock, playmat, etc. It's a great activity for multiple kids on a rainy day or just for some craft fun. My granddaughter, who turned nine yesterday, absolutely loved this gift! She immediately opened it up to check out all the pieces. She recognized the painter's bib and mat to paint on, but we had to explain the plastic sleeves she could wear to protect her clothes if she painted with long sleeves on. She loved the unicorns, the paint color choices, the sparkles and within a couple of hours, she already had two of the unicorns painted, with Busia only helping a little. So this was a fun craft overall. They give you a lot of unicorns and my daughter enjoyed the apron, arm sleeves and head band. The unicorns are nice, but be aware that many will never stand up. The biggest issue is that some of the paint was dried out and after we painted them, the paint chipped off. This basically made it so that my daughter was unable to actually play with the unicorns. We ended up repainting them with old nail polish and that worked much better. However, for the price, I think this is still a good, fun, project and would purchase something similar again. Just be aware that you will want to use different paint or consider some kind of sealing product afterwards. I've attached photos showing them after the second, nail polish, paint job. ... show more
