My 10mo was MEZMORIZED by the drums in her music class so we needed to get her one. This one is sturdy and sounds great both with the mallet and just an open palm. It had a chemical smell when I first opened it but it faded by the next day, CAUTION: The small red piece at the end pops off very easily. I recommend just removing and discarding it when you receive the item to avoid any possible choking hazards. I can imagine how easily it would have come off while my daughter chews on the end of the mallet! So glad I checked! ... show more
