I don’t think it’s cheaply made for the price I paid. My kids don’t throw things or step on things like this. My grandson Carrie’s it around and drops it. No problem. Very nice deep sound kids love. Especially on hardwood floors. It’s not an heirloom but a lot of kids have used it and nothing broke.

My daughter loved this item. The drum does come with sticks and a foam ball on the top which does create a good sound. I like the foam idea to avoid getting hit if I am close to her while she is playing. My toddlers are 2-3 so the chances of getting whacked are there lol. The end piece does come off just because it is a little plastic to cover the end of the stick. I just glued it on to avoid it coming off. But it is a great item for music time. ... show more

My grandson loves his drum. I thought he would destroy it by now. This drum is sturdy but the rubber stand at the bottom I had to super glue. The only thing holding the rubber on is 2 staples. A child could pull it right off.
