This lamp matches the description. Very easy to put together. Everything feels very sturdy with a heavy base. The lamp is operated with a sliding foot Leda for diming. My only complaints would be that I wish the plug in cord was longer and that it came out of the base instead of out of the pole. I love it! I have it in my baby's nursery. The only downside for me personally is that the lampshade is open at the bottom. I'd prefer something that is diffusing the light at the bottom so if I'm rocking the baby with it on dim it's still not too bright. Floor slider works well to turn lamp on & adjust brightness. Where the 2 halves of the stand screw together is not the strongest (typical of lamps like this) but I got some epoxy & glued the threads, tightened & let dry--now it stands very straight. Has a nice shade & the angle of it is adjustable.
