For nearly a year I’ve been wearing flat cloth masks that I can toss in the laundry. It was fine initially because I was staying home more and as such, not wearing makeup. Now I’m tired of being stuck at home and feeling blue. I want to put on makeup and go socialize but with the flat masks, it was rubbing makeup off and I was constantly forgetting to grab a washed mask before leaving. I needed a more convenient option. I bought these for my husband and I to use when convenience is needed. We leave them right by the door to grab before we head out instead of having to run back to the laundry room to grab a clean cloth mask. Due to the shape of this mask, it keeps the mask away from my mouth moreso than the cloth option and this my lip balm doesn’t rub off. My husband appreciates the shape too so he can be understood more clearly at work when speaking since it does sit further away from his mouth and doesn’t muffle him. We both wear glasses and found that when adjusting the nose piece and placing our glasses over the mask, it works better to help prevent our glasses from fogging. A huge plus when having to wear a mask for any extended length of time. I will say though for anyone that is concerned about proper fit and use of a mask- depending on your face size or structure, you may want to cross the straps before placing over your ear. My husband’s mask was fine without doing so, but I could fit at least two fingers between my chin and the bottom of the mask when the straps were not crossed. When I did cross them, the gap was corrected, creating a ‘seal’ around the entire perimeter of the mask. I tried to demonstrate that in the photo so as to ensure those with smaller faces that these can work for you too. I did feel as if more moisture accumulated over time in this mask compared to my cloth masks- and I didn’t care for that feeling. My husband didn’t seem to notice in comparison to other similar masks he wears at work. He said these are slightly more stiff but overall more comfortable because he felt he could breathe easier and didn’t seem to notice moist air during the day. These are awesome! I had to try them outside didn’t fog my glasses up. That has been the biggest struggle is finding a good mask that I can wear with glasses! Problem solved and they’re light weight too.

It leaves a gap on top of nose area. If your don’t have a nose like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, don’t buy this one. It dangerously put you in health risk by creating a loose gap there. Be careful!

It's a toss up on whether you get a good mask Out of the 30 you will get 1) Some that are too small for your face, 1/2 the pack on one box. 2) A batch where the strings breaks off, at times I had 5 in a row. 3) Some where the cut is irregular and fits awkward on your face. You do get some that work well, therefore you basically buy a few boxes hoping to get at least 80% that work, at best I was pushing 60 % and if lucky 70% If you don't mind the toss up on whether your batch is good, then take the pludge. I've decided to going elsewhere now that prices have come down to a normal level. Update: I’ve noticed one more important thing about this shameful company. These people raise their prices substantially when the pandemic worsens. It was $16 now it’s $30. Do we really want to support price gouging companies? If you don’t and buy from them then expect more companies to do the same. ... show more

    • Great Alternative to N95 Respirator

During the pandemic, I have mostly worn the ubiquitous blue surgical masks or multilayer cloth masks. I stayed away from N95 masks because of the great need for healthcare and first responders to have them when they’re working on the front lines. I see the Boncare KN95 as a very good alternative to the US N95 mask for non-medical use… Fits well to the average sized face and is comfortable. Instead of N95 head and neck straps, these KN95 masks use ear loops for attachment like most cloth masks. They appear to be constructed well and the nose wire allows the mask to be shaped to your face securely and comfortably. Breathing is easy and I like the black color. I would rate their filtration capability similar to N95 or the equivalent of wearing a cloth mask over a surgical mask (double masking) based on my research. I was really happy when I first put on this mask. It didn't fog my glasses and it was away from my mouth. I know that they are considered one time use. I put it on at the house to fit it, and then took it off until I got to the store. When I started to put it back on, one of the ear loops pulled right off. Luckily I had a cloth mask with me, because this mask was unuseable. I checked the other earloop afterwards. One lamination is secure, and the other pulled right off. ... show more

    • Terrible chemical smell

The mask seemed quality but the chemical smell is so strong as to make it unwearable! I tried to open a few and air them out for an hour and the smell was still strong enough to give me a headache. As stated by earlier reviewers, the ear loops were too short and made it uncomfortable. One ear loop popped off as I tried to put it on. I returned these the same day I received them. ... show more
