  • Excellent for pull-ups! Very well-made and packaged; easily assembled; stable; a bargain.
Design of the rack, and quality and fit of the materials are excellent. All the metal pieces were in perfect condition and beautifully finished. The nuts, bolts, and washers were all on one vacuum-packed card, numbered and identified - almost no chance of being the wrong amount, scattered or lost. The instructions are very clear, well-illustrated and sensibly written in good English. No tools are supplied, understandably at this price. You'll need two wrenches capable of working on 17mm (metric) hex head hardware. Ideal would be one ratcheting 17mm socket wrench and a combination (box end + open end) 17mm wrench, both with about 8" handles. That's what I used and it went together easily. At minimum you might get by with a 6" adjustable wrench and some long-handled pliers, though it will be hard to get enough final torque on the bolts. I'm not recommending that... just sayin'. I use it only for pull-ups and find it very stable even on cushioned indoor wall-to-wall carpet with protective throw rugs as well. And I purposely assembled it with the floor mounting ears "inside" rather than "outside" as recommended, which reduces the footprint slightly at the cost of a little stability. My order was fulfilled by Amazon; delivered in a few days with only one through-hole torn in the box. No shipping damage to the parts and no factory defects. I read many reviews of the $90 units before settling on this one for $140, and I'm glad I moved up. Many folks with the cheapo units report hardware loose in the box and lost during shipment, parts damaged or defective, already rusting (!) etc. Also, those units typically have two-piece side bars whereas this has solid, one-piece struts. This rack may look like the others but it is far superior. For pull-ups I don't think you can do better; only note that several other reviewers here find it wanting for heavy lifting. And this isn't a premium price; it's actually low for a good rack and very reasonable for what you get. A quality product from China... ... show more

  • Great rack for the money. Zero complaints.
Assembly was quick and easy. Unit is sturdy for my needs. Been using for several months. There have been complaints of the hooks falling out of the rack or the finish on the hooks coming off on the barbells. Here's my solutions. The solution that I have for the J-Hooks with the powder coat or paint wearing off is to cover them with clear vinyl tubing that I have. Really any hose will do, I just happen to have a bunch of the clear food grade vinyl tubing. Cut to fit and slice the hose to slide around the peg and keep the slice on the underside of the peg. That solved that problem. The other issue with the back of the hook slapping around and/or the hooks coming out of the rack is clearly because it looks like the hooks are made for 2" square tubing and this rack is not using square tubing but rather rectangle tubing. I have much better hooks (made for 2" square tubing) with locking bolts on the back of them but they don't fit this rack. My solution to take up the space at the back of the J-Hooks was use some smaller hose ie. fuel line, and slide it on the thinner round steel of the hook on the back to take up that extra space. I have had zero issues with the hooks falling out of the rack after my "upgrades". At the end of the day, we shouldn't have to be creative like this, but for under $200, to be expected. ... show more

  • This is a great squat rack for anyone considering a consistent lifting schedule
This is a great squat rack for anyone considering a consistent lifting schedule. It's nice and sturdy, and handles my 300 lb Olympic weight set well. I can assure you it'll hold 250 lbs at squat level. It's also very easy to put together, and takes up very little space.

  • Great Power Rack For The Money!
It's very well designed and manufactured. Easy to put together. I don't anticipate exceeding 200 pounds on it, for what I want to do and it can certainly handle that much; probably more like in excess of 300 pounds safely. I included a pic of one safety pin. Notice how the rod wraps around the column, to prevent the pin from accidently coming out. Yes, there is a little wiggle room, but a Velcro strap wrapped around the rod can provide a little additional safety if one is concerned about the pin coming off. I'm not. I believe the chin-up bar at the top is a lot more secure than some other models I looked at. I am very happy with this product. In my opinion, they got it right. ... show more

  • You won’t find anything better for this price
I was very impressed and surprised at how heavy this rack is. All the steel is fairly thick and once it’s bolted together it’s solid. Considering the versatility of it being a squat and press rack and how well it’s made I really don’t think you’ll find anything better for the price. The main beams are 42 inches apart so make sure you’ve got plenty of bar to accommodate that width. I would say no less than a 6 foot bar. ... show more

  • Very sturdy build
I may only weigh 185 pounds. But not only is the pull up bar perfect height (I'm 6'1"), but it is very stabilized and doesn't shake at all. Even when used with up to 100 pound weightlifting bar resting on it.

  • Sturdy, great price, quality well made.
It took me about an hour to put together. I used a wrench and pliers for the assembly. There are only 4 steps for the entire assembly process. The directions say to finger tighten everything until it is fully assembled then go back and tighten the bolts with tools, but I just tightened all the bolts as I went along and had no problem putting it together. I bought the rack really just for the pull up bar as I only do bodyweight, trx, and calisthenics for exercise. It doesn't wobble at all when doing pull ups. It was packaged well. Nothing was damaged or broken. I'm really happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Best Bang For the Buck!
The media could not be loaded. By far the best rack I’ve put together for the price tag! Very low footprint, price tag was very inviting, and overall sturdiness is ELITE! I’m 5’ 9”/240 lbs and without weights added, it held me solidly for pull ups. Good size for my family/half of a garage gym.
