The shades weren’t dented!! In fact, the shades arrived in same box as the lamps but were not assembled. All of the parts are in the box (which was quite small for 2 lamps WITH shades) along with instructions on how to assemble the shades which are rolled into cylinders. I was shocked at how easily they went together (less than five minutes) and thrilled that they were packaged in such a was as to prevent denting! Brilliant! ... show more
