When it's all put together this is a very handsome lamp with plenty of brightness to read by because the shade is large. Assembly of the shade I found difficult. The instructions are virtually impossible to carry out; you have to be a professional lamp shade maker or have great manual dexterity. I looked at the video for assembly and basically followed that. With a lot of concentration and experimentation I managed to pull it off. I think although some reviewers have called the shade flimsy, it is anything but, as good a material as you'd find in a lamp shade shop. The lamp that I had was great, but had a cut in the cord, so I had to buy a new one. The light wouldn't come inon anymore. I agonized over buying a new one, because they're expensive and I despaired over finding one that gave as good light as I got from my old one. When I found this one, I liked how it looked, I liked the price and it was about the same size. One thing I didn't like was that I had to do some assembly on it. Just unboxed my lamps. Questioned how nice the lamp shades would be, you have to put them together yourself. It was easy and they are very nice! These lamps do not disappoint. Very happy I got these they are heavy like you want a lamp to be. After about a month I bought a little cheaper chrome USB lights for it bedroom from a different company. What was I thinking. The new lights were OK, NOTHING close to the quality of my Bobomomo lights. Won’t make that mistake again. Love my Bomomo Lights will look for that brand again no matter the cost. ... show more
