  • Beautiful Vanity!
Color: Black
Let me start by saying that I'm really pleased with this vanity. If you've already researched the product and are just looking for a review that confirms what you already suspect, then by all means, place your order. You won't regret this beautiful vanity for such an amazing price. If you're still unsure then let me clarify a few things that I was concerned about before I received my order... First of all, take some measurements to see if this is going to fit into the space you're buying it for. I happened to have a pretty large area to fill for my vanity and I was pleased to see that this is a bit deeper than most vanities that I found. I try not to store too much stuff on top of my vanity because I don't like the cluttered look, but this vanity could hold a ton if you wanted it to, all without even touching the drawer space. The drawers are the things that worried me the most. Like most vanities, these drawers don't pull entirely out, so if you're storing small items loose in the drawers then some of them are absolutely going to roll into the back and be difficult to see. (This didn't concern me too much, it seems like an issue all vanities have). My makeup collection is out of control so I knew there was no chance I'd be able to fit even a portion of my makeup in the drawers, but for the average person you won't have any issue getting all of your makeup (and probably a lot of other things) into the vanity. The top three drawers are pretty shallow. For reference, I can fit my hairbrush in there without any issue but I couldn't stand up a bottle of nail polish or foundation. The bottom two drawers are a bit taller and you'll be able to fit some of those deeper products in there. The drawers pull out smoothly and don't stick at all. The stool is surprisingly sturdy, something I was a little nervous about, and the quality of the fabric seems really nice and durable. Assembly was an absolute breeze. The entire tabletop and drawers section is shipped as one big piece. All you have to do is screw the four legs on and stand the vanity up. The mirror has to be screwed into the back of the vanity so that it stands up and you'll need a screw gun for this step (screws are included). The stool legs get bolted easily into the wood surrounding the cushion. There's an allen key included. The most difficult part for most people will likely be getting it into the house from wherever UPS drops it. The box is as small as it possibly can be, but it's heavy (though not entirely impossible for one person to move alone). UPS had a "team lift" sticker on my box, I'd suggest the same for you). The wood itself is really nice. I wanted something that looked beautiful and wasn't just a wood-like sticker over particle board. I'm sure I'll scratch it eventually but the product was well packaged and arrived without any scratches or dings. I considered getting a glass piece to cover the top to prevent scratching or staining but then realized that the mirror would likely get in the way. I was right, it would have. If you're considering a glass cover then take into consideration the fact that the mirror bumps in about an inch so you won't be able to order the exact size of the table top. I guess that's it. I hope that was helpful. Enjoy your vanity if you decide to get it, I know I will be! ... show more

  • THE VANITY OF MY DREAMS!!!
I have been searching far and wide for a vanity set and am so happy that I found this! It is well designed and sturdy..all for a very great price. I got home and had the package at my door - shipping was so fast! My estimated date was 12/10-12/13 and I got it on 12/9 - that's a day early, people! It's a pretty heavy package (almost 80lbs) so you may need help lifting it but I handled it on my own with little struggles by "rolling" it haha. :) It was also packaged very nicely with styrofoam even on the outside corners of the package to prevent damage during delivery. After I took out all the pieces, I noticed a few indents but they aren't noticeable at all...I'm just very OCD about checking every inch of a new product (even the bottom of the table haha :P) but nothing that would make me return the product. Tip for getting it out of the box (esp. if you're doing it by yourself): put it on the floor horizontally and cut the tape at the sides and middle (as you would normally when you open a boxed package), then break open one of the sides of the cardboard box so you can slide it out easily making sure that you aren't scratching any of the surfaces. I used the styrofoam under it as a cushion between the floor and the table - this also helped the table slide out much easier. Assembly was a breeze (for the most part)... 1. THE STOOL: all you had to do was align the legs to the cushion and put in 2 screws per leg. very easy. 2. THE TABLE: the table itself came assembled already so, again, all you had to do was attach the legs. Unlike the stool legs, the table legs don't even need screws. you just pop off the cap from the leg (that protects it from scratching the other legs during delivery) and screw it into the table. again...very easy! 3. THE MIRROR: now this was the hard part. To be honest, I haven't even installed the mirror yet because I don't have a power drill and am not strong enough to make holes myself. The mirror comes with 2 mounting bars to stabilize the mirror with the table. HOWEVER, the table and the mirror DON'T have pre-drilled holes for you to turn the screws into so you'll have to drill your own holes. For the moment, I'm just resting the mirror on the table at an angle so it's in place and won't fall over. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and would DEFINITELY recommend this product to anyone looking for a vanity set. I can't wait to fill up the drawers and make it my own. Love it! ... show more

  • Get the vanity, forget the stool
Color: White
Get this vanity! It takes two people to carry the box it comes in-- it's heavy, although really well packaged with the box coming in another box with styrofoam shims. But I assembled it myself in 20 minutes, and it took that long only because I procrastinated. Assembly tips: 1) The vanity legs just screw in, super easy. 2) All you need is a phillips screwdriver to attach the supports holding the mirror to the vanity, and it helps to have some longer screws of your own as two of the screws it came with didn't do the job on mine. 3) The stool is garbage. Only one of the stool legs fit into the grooves to attach to the seat. I would've needed to cut the legs to make them fit and I don't have any of that. I had planned on getting another stool or using one of my existing chairs anyway and didn't want the hassle of returning everything just for the stool. Yes, it's pressed board, but it does not look cheap at all. It's very sturdy and holds a LOT. I thought I was a makeup junkie, but apparently not because all my stuff fits with space to spare. I agree with the other posters in that it's a good idea to get an acrylic or glass table top and I can see this getting dirty very easy (I got the off-white). Fantastic value, would totally recommend buying this! ... show more
