I’ve had problems with the plastic base on my old seat mounts breaking when I’ve had heavier passengers. The plastic that sits in the floor base just isn’t built for big guys. This seems very solid and has a nice tight fit without wobbling. It does say not to use it at speeds above 5mph but I think it will be fine as a post for a rear seat in my boat. ... show more
