I have an older smaller USB speaker that I like but is lacking in bass. This Tamproad looked like an upgrade so based on reviews I bought it for $35. The sound is clean, that is most important to me. There is bass, but not what you would expect from the looks of that center driver. Moderate bass adds richness to the sound, but don't expect any thumping. I ran a bass test on it and it really fell off below 100hz. One thing I found annoying straight off is the blue light ring around the bass cone. Hurting my eyes at night, the blue is too cold. Noticing there are four screws holding the front of the speaker on, I took the front face off and easily disconnected two white wires on the board= no more ring light and this will only help the battery last longer. (see image) Another thing is that the remote raises volume to 14 but no higher. However, the volume knob does go much higher than the remote, in fact this little box will get loud and stay clean sounding. Blutooth always connects with my iphone 8 but you have to get past the cringy status voices "blutooth connect-duh successfully". FM works for what that's worth. The battery charges quickly and lasts for at least 3 hours nonstop. I haven't tried a flashdrive or media card in it, I just want it for wireless connection. It does work brilliantly for that. Yes, a good sound upgrade over what I had. EDIT 2/23: so two years in this speaker has worked flawlessly, it connects via blutooth to my iPhone every time. Flashdrive works every time. I've put it to use as my traveling guitar amp-acoustic guitar with a Rushhead preamp using an 1/8" stereo cord to the aux speaker input. Nice clear sound with the limitation that it only gets loud enough, you won't rock the local open mic night with it. I've taken the time to review this twice because it is a reliable tool for my music needs. Top recommendation! ... show more

Overall great little speaker and when I say little I mean it's little so read product dimensions before buying if size is important to you but that said the speaker sounds awesome it does get loud as for the battery life I can't say yet so far my only complaint is the fm radio doesn't seem to get any stations but no big deal since I'm only using it for my ipod 5th gen so far I'm happy with this considering how cheap it is ... show more

For those of you who are saying that the bass is not good enough, go buy a 300 dollar tailgating speaker. For for the price point of this thing, you really can’t beat it. It has high quality CONTROLLED bass. It’s great for watching movies and I’ve noticed that even at a quarter of the max volume, it still cranks out a bass level that is proportionate to the volume while maintaining a strong deep sound. Trust me, the bass is excellent. Keep in mind, the positioning of your speaker in the room will have an impact on quality of sound. Be smart about where you place it people. Basically, if you’ve been contemplating the decision, just buy it. You will not regret it because with quality sound comes a higher price and the price for this thing will only continue to increase because the demand for it will sky rocket when people notice how good it is.     • Nice little speaker, but not great
One of the biggest concerns is that you cannot turn to unit off with the remote. You have to get up and flip the switch on the side to the off position! I could not find a way to assign my own presets in the FM mode. It will let you do an "auto scan", but this will also find a lot of garbage channels which you cannot delete or remove. You can dial in a station by simply using the remote number pad, that is convenient. The remote is infrared, so it will not work when the speaker is out of side (behind cabinet door...) I expected a bit more bass, but I guess for the price it is ok! ... show more

Okay this speaker is nice , but it’s smaller than the pic definitely smaller then what I expected . I did not like that I was about to return it because it was not loud at all. But my family said keep it for personal use. & plus I needed a new 1. It’s loud in small areas not big open back yrs parties . It’s ok in small rooms & living rooms with no furniture . The battery life is 2-1/2 maybe a good 3 hrs when fully charged. I like the light at night when I let my soaking worship music play. It came with a usb cord but no charger piece , the remote works it needs batteries which is fine . I just didn’t like it cause it was too small & not really loud , but loud enough Oh & it came in time I hate this speaker the charger stop working, It don’t stay charge I hate it ... show more

For the price, great little speaker. I initially bought for a party and tested out the sound as well as how far I could stretch the bluetooth if I had my phone in my pocket all night. At first it seemed like I go pretty far but the more we used it, it seemed like the range got smaller? Not positive but thought I could go farther at first. Sound is good, gets fairly loud. However, the party I used it for? It was not nearly loud enough. I thought it would be but I severely underestimated the noise a backyard full of people generates that kind of drowned out the speaker. The media could not be loaded. For a small speaker, it deffinitally packs a punch. When my speaker arrived, I was thrown off by the size.
