I might just return this product because of the flashing disco lights. The sound is good and it’s easy to use (except when trying to turn the disco lights off)

    • Great battery life
The volume could be a but better but it works perfectly for what I purchased it for which is taking it to a drive-in theatre so me and my daughters can sit outside and have the movie play thru it. I've used this a good bit and rarely have I had to charge it.

Nothing extra special about this speaker. It works well for my son, for his first one. One thing I will say is the remote was pointless, it doesn’t work unless you are very close up on the speaker, pointing at it. The lights are nice, it’s loud enough, just wish you could adjust the bass some.

I wanted something that would be loud enough because when I listen to music...I want to hear it. With this speaker box I definitely get that. I love to be out in the yard day or night gardening and just being outside. I am very happy that I bought this lightweight still attractive speakers.

    • Worked great…until it didn’t
This speak was great for the price and functioned well. All the modes worked properly and I needed this to play songs from an SD card because this was a shared device used to play specific songs at a recurring event. Eventually the SD functionality completely got out of whack and would only play even numbered tracks loaded on the SD card. After figuring that out and reprogramming the card, worked well for a few more weeks until the speaker stopped recognizing the card altogether mid song of an important event. A few days later, the speaker would cut in and out on all modes of play. Now it just automatically shuts off after a few seconds (and yes the battery is properly charged).     • Okay - if you like flashing lights
I bought this speaker to replace an older one whose batteries were dying out. This was more expensive than the old $40 unit I had, so perhaps I was expecting an improvement in sound quality. My bad. First the good stuff. Delivery was smooth and on time, and the build quality is great. The unit has a nice weight to it, with a nice rugged handle. It's more than a foot wide and stands almost 8 inches tall. Good body. FM reception is very good - one of my key points. It was able to capture some weak stations and still deliver decent sound. All this without a telescopic antenna that might break or needs to be pulled in and out. Nice. Battery life was great, and for the few days I used it I didn't have to recharge at all. The 8,000 mAh claim is believable. The remote is quite nice. Unlike the flat tablet remotes with all the same buttons, this one is ergonomic and fits well in the hand. The buttons are well places and the main ones like power, volume and channels can easily be found in the dark just by feeling the remote. Now the bad stuff. What's up with the flashing lights? The thing just goes blazing when you turn it on, dazzling from all sides. Okay, it says you can turn it off by holding down the Mode button. I promptly did that, but guess what? When you turn it off and on, there go the lights again! There is no way I have to take an extra step of turning off disco lights every time I have to listen to this thing. There has to be a way to KEEP the lights off unless I'm about to throw a party. The other disappointment was the sound. For such a sturdy machine the sound is underwhelming. It's not bad, but definitely not something I want to listen to for many hours. I was able to improve it a little with the equalizer on AUX mode, but still not great. Finally, I was just a bit peeved that Amazon dropped the price by more than $10 just after I bought it. Waaah! Sorry, sending it back. ... show more

This boombox has all the bells and whistles. My husband uses this everyday and can bring it everywhere throughout the day. After being charged, it works wonderfully and the price was very affordable.
