  • Excellent headset for the price
I had the K18 version; it lasted 4 years, before the rubber ear loop started cracking - pretty good. So I bought another - this K10C, which is working great like the K18 Not as many voice prompts as Plantronics/Poly, but I can get by w/o them, for the price. It has USB-C charging port. Via email from Conambo I was told : Some of the older K10C stock on Amazon were Micro-USB charging. But I doubt that's part of the inventory anymore, and the new ones are USB-C. Also they explained, the newer K21 differs from the K10C : -- K21 also USB-C charging -- K21 is louder -- K21 has Bluetooth v5.1; K10C is v5.2 (yes, lower version they said) -- slightly different styling Otherwise pretty much the same, it would seem And the "2024 Upgraded K10C" I believe is the same K10C, but definitely w/ USB-C charging ... show more

  • Checks all the boxes
As with many people, I am working from home during the pandemic and needed a good headset at a reasonable price. Wasn't willing to pay $100+ for the brand name headsets. I tested 5 different headsets before settling on this one: 3 over the ear sets w/ one headphone & 2 in-ear, including this one. The reasons I chose this Canambo unit was: 1. Multipoint Pairing - I am using this headset with my laptop (for video calls) and my mobile phone. Almost all of the headsets allowed the user to pair with two different components; however, this was the only headset that not only paired, but allows the user to transition between the two components seamlessly without having to connect and/or disconnect one to use the other. For example, if I'm listening to a Youtube video on my phone and a video call comes in from my laptop, the headset automatically mutes the YT video and takes the laptop call without me having to do this manually. I do not have the dexterity or patience to switch from one to the other when needed, so the seamless transition that this headset allows is priceless, and my single top priority for a headset. At this pricepoint, I really didn't think I would be able to benefit from this feature, let alone have it work so well. 2. Comfort - I wear this headset all day, no less than 8 hours, so whatever I chose had to be comfortable. This unit is surprisingly comfortable. Multiple sizes of ear buds were included, so I tried most and found one that worked best. Towards the end of the day, the back of my ear, where the thickest part of unit lays, is only slightly uncomfortble. I could always switch ears at that point, but it doesn't bother me enough to do so. 3. Call quality - no complaints. Not a single person has asked if I'm using a headset or complained about background noise, but disclaimer, I have only used this in an indoor office setting, so no wind or other noises are competing with this headset. One of the headsets I tested had a weird humming sound when in standby mode. This was so annoying and definitely put that unit at the bottom of the test pile for me. No humming or weird noises coming from this unit when not in use. I'm wearing it now and it's completely quiet. 4. Buttons - I love the independent on/off switch! It's so much easier than holding down a multi-function button for 3+ seconds to turn on/off like most of the units required. The buttons on the ear piece are large enough to access, but I do not use them often since I tend to reach for my mouse (laptop) and/or phone to mute or control volume. 4. Case for traveling - nice touch! The other unit I tried did not include a case. 5. Battery life is outstanding - I've used the unit on standby mode for 8+ hours with frequent calls throughout the day for 6 days straight and it's still showing 60% remaining. At this rate, I'll likely only need to charge once every couple of weeks, and it only takes a couple of hours to fully charge. Some cons: 1. Distance - I can go about 15' from the source before the headset disconnects. I was hoping for better distance than that, but it could also be a function of the bluetooth capabilities of my phone and/or laptop as well, not necessarily the headset itself. 2. No caller announcement available on this model, which I know some headsets offer. This could be inconvenient for those wanting to use this in a car. 3. It would have been nice for the charging port to be covered. Would have made for a really water-resistant unit. Not a huge deal since the port is at the bottom of the unit, so hard to get water in there while wearing I would think. The multi-point technology that this unit offers is what sold me on it at the end of the day. At less than $40, I couldn't ask for a better headset. It literally checked all the boxes. I've only had the unit for alittle over a week so cannot attest to longevity, but so far so good. Thinking of buying a spare in case this one quits on me! ... show more

  • Works with my Galaxy S21 No call management functions nor Bluetooth PBAP.
I'm totally blind. I got this to see how it worked and I was hoping it had a boom microphone. That it did. Now to give someone some information about this headset that can't see at all being the discription really doesn't give an blind person any information. This headset has a part that goes into the ear and then has a part that goes up along the front of your ear and tehn over the top of your ear and then the electronics are on the back side of your ear. Now on the back of the electronics that would be towards the back of your head is all the control for the headset. At the top on the back is the off/on switch. Up is off and down is on. Below this is the volume up button. Below that is the volume down button. Then you come to a gap and then you come to the last button. This is the mute/voice command button. Between the Mute and volume down buttons is a LED. Doesn't do an blind person much use. But when you plug the headset into charge; The LED will come on. However when the headset is fully charged! The LED doesn't turn off, it just changes colors. So if you are using a light detector, you may not be able to tell the headset is done charging. The USB charging port is an Micro USB and the Micro USB is on the underside of the electronics. So this means when it is on your ear and you are standing up, the micro USB port is pointing down to your shoulder. The boom microphone comes out of the part that goes in your ear. This swings up and down. On the side of the boom microphone is a NFB button and this points away from your head. The button is on the part of whare the boom microphone joins the headset. Now when you pair this up to your phone; This will show up as K10C. The headset doesn't allow you to check battery status on the headset itself. So if the headset is in standby, it doesn't matter what button you press, you cannot find out the battery status. Now for calling stuff being I spend a lot of time on the phone. Like I said, this headset doesn't support the Bluetooth PBAP protocol. So another words, the headset will not tell you who is calling if the headset is in standby mode and a call comes in. To me, this is bad. You must turn on the call name on the phone. But at that point, it is the phone speaking the caller ID information and not the headset. Call management stuff. If you are on a call to start with and another call come in! You cannot put the first call on hold to answer the incoming call. The only thing you can do with this headset is to hang up from the first call to be able to answer the incoming call. Again, this is very bad. I want to be able to answer the incoming call and when done with that call! Press the NFB button to go back to the first call. But like I said, this doesn't support the ability to answer a incoming call and place the existing call on hold at all. Volume while on a call. The volume while on a call looks to be very good. I like that. You have a lot of volume so if you get one of those people that you can't hardly hear! You can raze the volume and maybe be able to hear them. I've found with this headset, from time to time, I have to lower the volume of some people. But to me, I like that. I would and want the ability to be able to jack up the volume if I need to. Mute button for when on a call. This headset will just tell you Mute ON or OFF when pressed while on a call. So while on a call if you press the button you hear Mute on. Then you have nothing at all to remind you that the mute is on. Again for me, this is very bad. I want to hear some type of reminder letting me know mute is still on. I would want to hear something like every 15 seconds like a beep to let me know mute is on. If you are on a call lets say for 15 minutes and then you need to say something, you may have forgotten you have mute on and then wonder why noone is responding to you. This is why a beep every 15 or so seconds would be good. But like I said, this headset doesn't do that. Battery life. As far as I can tell, the battery life is OK. Now will you get 16 hours of talk time on the headset! I would say probably not. But this depends on a lot. Like how loud you have the headset, how close you are to the phone and so on. I can get probably 8 hours or so. I'm ok with this. Now as far as putting this on your ear! I've found sliding it down from the top of your ear is the easiest way and I can most of the time do this with one hand. warrning! The headset did make my ear a little sore for the first few days until things got use to my ear and I got use to the headset. After that, I don't have an issue with it. ... show more
