Used the blue parrot over the head boom style for years on the road, swore by them, still do, they can't be beat. Now that I'm no longer on the road, I saw they had an on the ear style and figured it had to be good. Well. First one didn't last anytime and nobody could hear me. Returned it without any hassle, problems or issues, they sent me out a new one that has been problem free! Love it, amazed by the battery life, hope it lasts! I've tried most, including the voyager, and knockoffs. Only thing close isn't available anymore and it would have been the jawbone.     • The BlueParrott M300-XT is a technology and quality disaster
I was excited to try this new mono Bluetooth headset since it is a BlueParrot/Jabra branded product. Typically BlueParrot and Jabra develop quality mono Bluetooth products, but the M300-XT is one of the worst mono headsets I have ever used. I was hoping that this device would be as good or better than the Poly/Plantronics Voyager 5220 as it has the same "boom mic" design. The 5220 mono Bluetooth is by far the best mono on the market in all categories, but I wanted to try a new product because, as good as the 5220 Voyager is, it feels as if the Poly headsets have no more than a one-year shelf life. Back to the M300-XT... 1. I have been using it for two days and every person I have talked to notices I am using a new headset, and they all comment that I sound like I am speaking in a tunnel. I have made multiple adjustments to the boom, and nothing has fixed this issue. 2. There is no software "hub" for windows/mac computers, and the only device hub is available on an android or iOS phone. 3. This may seem like a minor issue, but I promise it is not when you experience it first hand. When you adjust the volume on the headset the beep tone remains the same. I have never encountered a headset that would beep on the loudest setting as you press the "volume down" button on the device. The button press beep is so loud it actually hurts my ears. 4. The flexibility of the "over the ear" component is not flexible at all, and it is absurdly uncomfortable to wear. I highly suggest avoiding this product if you are looking for a mono Bluetooth headset for your mobile phone.     • Good noise cancellation
I got this for a few reasons. Corporate culture has resorted to placing me feet from co workers on the same call causing significant feedback on calls, my wife speaks very loud on her calls when at home, and also I need a solution in my Jeep. I didnt want a headset that covered both ears so I could use while driving. For the first two things work fairly well however occasionally it will mute out my voice making me faint on the call because it believes I am background noise. I had this resolved with a jawbone headset years ago but they no longer make them. My nc700 bose do a little better here but are also covering both ears and are much bulkier. For the jeep it does NOT handle direct wind muting, however with some test calls I am able to use it if I roll up the windows even with the top down. It drowns out the car and even the radio and blinker noises pretty well. Again this worked on my old jawbone but not this one. It did beat out the nc700 bose units in the jeep. I have suggested to several co workers as well as a cheap alternative for work calls to resolve this problem as well. I would biy again amd I am no longer looking to solve the problem in the jeep because these work so well. Pros Noise cancellation functionality Battery life Smaller than over the head options Cons Needs a smaller ear option/cover Wind is still a problem Can filter me out if positioned wrong or a noisy room No storage case make them hard to take off and store.     • Good for 6 months, then earpiece volume dropped off
Bought to replace my 10-year-old, $30 Plantronics M50 for work calls. Right away, the receive sound quality had far better clarity, and the mic quality was maybe just a touch better than the M50. This has been my everyday work-from-home earpiece for the last 6 months. The battery life is amazing. I can hear clearly, and my coworkers never complain that I'm hard to hear--even when speaking quietly. If there's one downside at all, it's has a sub-second delay, but I'm inclined to think that's just an inherent part of bluetooth buffering. Fast-forward to yesterday--that has changed. I stuck this thing in my (very loose) coat pocket during a visit to the office. When I took it out to get on another call, the volume had become much lower, even at max volume, in additional to a new crackling sound. I tried hard-resetting, unpairing, restarting my phone, all of it. I believe something has broken internally. I bought this on sale for $60. At that price it might be worth rolling the dice, but for $100 I must recommend against this model. I will be seeing about a warranty replacement through BlueParrott, likely as a backup earpiece. My new Plantronics 5200 will be at my door within the next hour. ... show more

    • Best headset I’ve owned but the noise canceling is non existent.
The ear insert doesn’t fully sit in place and with a little separation the whole noise canceling feature goes out the door. With that being said, the sound quality is great. I work construction and can always hear the other person and just as important they can hear me. Fantastic battery life. I can go a full 10 hour shift playing music and taking calls without having to charge it. I’ve had it a few months now and out doors very comfortably in my left ear. For whatever reason it did hurt to have it longer than an hour on my right ear. Sometimes I honestly forget I’m wearing it until I get a call. Definitely a great buy for this price. ... show more
