My girlfriend ordered this as an attempt to cut down on waste, which I'm all for. I've never really liked the foaming soap, but I agree with the sentiment, so I went with it. We've had it nearly a year and it has been fairly reliable and easy to maintain. However, the real reason I'm giving it 5 stars is because of the customer service. After 11 months (their warranty is 100 days) the pump finally gave out. It became really difficult to press resulting in very watery foam being dispensed. I reached out to their customer service team and not only did they get back to me quickly, but sent along a replacement pump for free! Would recommend. ... show more

I've been using their foaming handsoap, all purpose cleaner, and bathroom cleaner for a few years now - love these products! Reasonably priced and so easy to use! I recommend using warm water when dissolving the tablets - it will dissolve more effectively!

At first I didn’t think I was going to happy because it was shooting just straight water out of the pumps. Then after a few pumps it started foaming nicely every time. The smell of all of the samples is amazing but the pacific mist is a personal favorite. I don’t like strong smells but this is just enough to give you some but not be overwhelming. The bottles are really good quality and also look very nice. We went with the gray and it fits perfectly in our guest bathroom aesthetic. Definitely plan to continue to buy refills and eventually replace more around our house! ... show more

    • I was disappointed by how "soapy" it is...but I love the idea to reduce waste enough to keep with it
Lather (3 stars): All the other soaps we've used have a longer lasting lather. The foam soap coming out of my jar doesn't last as long on my hands for scrubbing, even when compared to other foam soaps. This leaves me with a feeling of "no soap" even though I'm not satisfied my hands are clean enough. I don't think I use more or less soap than normal, or that I scrub more than normal, but I suppose I would think that regardless. Even with two full pumps, it's not quite enough. Without getting more soap, I don't think I could make it through "Happy Birthday Twice" as has become the recommendation. In any case, the lather quality has left me a bit disappointed. I think I'm going to try to mix the next bottle up at a slightly higher concentration...but without markings of any kind on the bottle it's hard to say what I might want to do. I believe that the ultimate consequence of this is that what appears to be a normal sized bottle of soap is actually less soap than it seems. So you'll use it faster. And buy more. I'm not a conspiracy kinda person, I doubt this is what the folks that developed this were actually calculating. Unless... Scent (5 stars): The scent is fine. It doesn't linger on my hands too much, which is about the only thing I care about. I was expecting the scent to be a variety pack on my first purchase of the kit but it's all the same. The amazon listing says that's the case, so I don't know where I got that idea. Pump and Bottle (2 stars): Part of the reason I bought this is that I'm frustrated by the quality of the soap dispensers out there. Even the vanity style reusable dispensers available are cheap, crappy plastic. The bottle here is glass, which gives me some pause, but it's thick and seems like it'd hold itself together even after slipping off the sink a time or two. I was worried that, without rubber feet, it would be very slippery, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. The glass base itself seems to have a fair amount of friction. We'll see how it holds up to soap scum buildup. And kids clumsily knocking it off of the counter onto the tile floor. The pump also seems well made, but for some reason it has an embossing on the top of the pump with the BLUELAND typeface in it. You probably won't notice it until it gets caked with dirt and develops an "organic drop-shadow". I think if it were me, I'd prefer not to have my brand identified by the impossible to clean remnants of dirty hands. Edit: Revising my review down a star for the quality of the pump just not lasting. We're part way through our third tablet and the pump no longer "springs" up when you try to use it. It makes the pump frustrating to use and requires two hands now. ... show more

I purchased two pumps and several soap packets in Jan 2023. I loved the soap product, worked well, smells great and leaves your akin feeling soft and not dried out. The pumps did not last however and I have thrown both away within 6 months if purchasing and have 16+ packets of soap refills that are NOT compatible with the Tyrtl pumps I purchased. I would love to give this product a great review because I love the environmentally friendly idea, but the glass bottles with the plastic pumps just don't last 😞 ... show more

I really wanted to like this product and was hoping that it would win me over and make me a regular customer. However my experience with it has been disappointing, therefore I won’t be purchasing it again. Like many reviews here and elsewhere on the internet, the pump on the bottle is terrible. In my case it was hard to press down. I didn’t want to bother with complaining to Blueland or seek a replacement because they’ll just send you another pump. Because this is a repeated problem, clearly their designers and quality assurance aren’t addressing it. So who’s to say I won’t receive another defective pump? I ended up buying a foaming soap bottle from the dollar store and that worked way better. The packaging of the soap tablets is fine print greenwashing. It’s compostable, yes, but only in industrial settings. It will NOT compost in your traditional home bin and I’ve been reading that people are actually doing this. While the exterior of the packaging is paper, the inside contains a mix of aluminum and PLA. I don’t know how aluminum behaves in an industrial compost setting but shouldn’t that be sorted with cans so it could be readily recycled? But I 3D print and I know that PLA, while biodegradable, needs an industrial setting to break down. So yeah you’re still buying plastic faster than it can be composted and disposed of. The formulation isn’t strong enough for my liking. I kept this in the kitchen and it took 2 washes to get kimchi or olive oil on my hands. Maybe it works fine for other people but not for me. The positives to this soap is that the tablets dissolved quickly in warm water and they smell good. ... show more
