My five-year-old female has eaten this for every meal of her life. I listened to advice that the first three ingredients in a kibble should be animal protein, not cereal. She turns her nose up at sardines, tuna, or chicken from a can.

Wish I would have bought this Blue Buffalo a long time ago for my cats. I'm a guy and wasn't very educated on the importance of something quality vs. everything else. Both my cats are about 6-7 years old. Always fed them Purina One for quite some time, along with Friskies canned wet food. Recently started noticing both of them getting eye gunk, their coats had no shine, seemed like they were losing too much weight, and very lethargic with no energy(which is especially unusual for one of them cause he's so playful and such an avid hunter). Decided to give this a try, and couldn't be happier, and the cats too. Both have tons of energy, their coats look amazingly shiny, their eyes are very clear with no gunk, and are back to their normal weight. I feel bad because I almost feel like I was poisoning them with that Purina One crap with all the fillers, and god knows what else. I know Purina One wasn't the worse thing anyone could feed a cat, but it's still bad and nowhere near the quality and nutrition the Buffalo Blue has. Another very positive thing is that yes, you may pay a few more bucks for this stuff, but in the long run, you save tons of money, and your cats are way healthier. Both my cats were going through 7 lbs. of the Purina One every 3 weeks at $14 per bag. I've had this bag of Buffalo for almost a month, and they have only consumed about 3 lbs. Based on my research, when cats eat quality food like the Buffalo Blue, they don't need to eat as much cause they are getting the nutrition they need. With a ratio of the cats needing less food, and being more healthy to avoid costly vet bills, I'd call that a win-win!!! ... show more

Finding a very healthy cat food that my cats love was a huge challenge. This one scores 100. Quality ingredients, grain-free, clean. It is a bit pricy but better than harming my sweet pets with an inferior cheap cat food.

what is there to say? its healthy. its cat food. good stuff. I'll keep buying it. highly recommended for cats that wont eat anything but kibbles. its not ideal, obviously, but its better than feeding them cheap grain-filled "food".

my two cats are picky, one day something is good another day it's not. I go thru a lot of wet food but if I put this out, they will eat it up. I don't want to just feed kibble though even though the ingredients are good *I still check in case they add something not good but so far so good. they do like it, we use the Chicken. ... show more

Blue Buffalo is the only cat food that my cat, Adso, will eat. I've tried just about every other food but he just turns up his nose to it. He is very active and I believe that is due to the high quality of his food. He also has less waste since it is high quality food. Do I wish he would eat a less expensive food...of course but I'd rather have him be choosy and healthy. The only reason I give it four stars is due to the high cost. ... show more

We switched to this because the one we had been using had so much corn, and corn gluten meal that every time our cat ate it she would throw up. So we switched to Blue Buffalo and haven't had an issue.

    • Love The High Protein Content
I will not buy the cheaper dry cat food kibble which is mainly carbohydrates. Cats are carnivores and need a lot of protein. The Blue Buffalo contains a minimum of 40% protein. The kibble is nice and small and easy for my cats to eat and they seem to like it a lot. This kibble costs more than other, less quality kibble, but is so much better for my cats and yours too. ... show more
