I put this together by myself and it wasn't hard. The hardest part was putting the poles in while getting the last side on, but it's doable. I messed up on the beginning part and have the top shelf back facing the wrong way, so you can see the hardware, but I didn't notice it till I was done. Still looks great. we love this bookcase for our three year old. it makes swapping out toys super easy, with the little shelves & all her favorite books are at her fingertips. i only gave 4 stars because the assembly was a little difficult. we had to take it apart to get the bottom slat to fit snug, but that could be because my husband tightened the screws a little too tightly. altogether, we love this & the color is so nice ... show more

Took about an hour to put it together. It felt like an ikea shelf. I just wish the shelves were a bit bigger to fit taller books - we put the big books on the sling part.

I bought this for my great granddaughter for Christmas, they put it together this past weekend and she loves it. She can reach her books, play in her totes and she even puts her books back. My granddaughter said it was not too hard to put together, she said it is very sturdy, she loves it for her.

Extremely disappointed with this product. Purchased it for my nursery and ended up taking a bit of time to build... and was SO disappointed once I built it. I would have returned it had the window not passed -- not sure I would have been able to return a built item anyways. The problem is that the shelves are not adjustable and they're waaaay too short. They don't fit anything. Mind you, I was gifted 70+ books, and I've had to SQUEEZE in the maybe 10 that are fitting on the shelf. The rest I've had to just lay in the bottom shelf. Even toys -- most toys / stuffed animals are much too big to fit anywhere on there. I'm attaching images to show how some fairly commonly sized books will not fit the shelf. Basically only books the size of my hand. Huge waste of money -- I'll be contacting Amazon to see if there's anything that can be done about it. ... show more
