These setup blocks are well made and accurate by my caliper measurements. Set comes with a bonus square and carpenters pencil. I have used the blocks to setup my table saw blade height and it yielded an accurate cut without having to mess with my other measuring devices, tape measure etc. Setup blocks come in a decent plastic box carrying case and the foam insert is nicely cut to protect and organize the individual blocks. The laser etched markings are white against the blue background and easy to read. Each block also has imperial measurements on one side that is nice for quick small measuring needs. Overall good value and I definitely recommend them if you need a nice set of budget setup blocks for your shop. ... show more

The measuring blocks are very accurate, and well constructed. They were just what was need to service my set up needs for all my machines. They are beautiful out of the case and the case is high quality for maintaining the blocks. Highly recommend them!

Using my calipers to measure accuracy on these, they're are an awesome value and accurate enough for my woodworking projects. Overall was never over/under 1-2 thousands. The included square is accurate to true 90 degrees as I can measure with some of my other more expensive squares. The square is really lightweight, I'm not sure what alloy it is but it's lighter than my expensive squares and I end up using it more than the others. I even like the gloves, they have a nice grip texture and fit (i have large hands). There's so many sets like this out there, I'm happy with this one ... show more

    • Good setup blocks, but the square isn't square ...
Like most people, I bought this set to make it easier to set up my saws and routers and such, and the blocks seem to be working great for that ... again like most people, I did a spot check of all the blocks and verified they were within a few thousandths of their marked values. Love the blue color with white lettering, very easy to read. But I had to deduct a star because they chose to include a speed square in the kit, and it's not square ... after noticing that I had to go back and check more blocks (they're all good) because it's tough to have confidence in a company touting "precision" in their name when they include a speed square that isn't square ... oof ... ... show more

These measuring blocks are solid, well labeled with clarity to see with white lettering on blue aluminum. I’ve tested each single one in different measurements to equal the one inch main block against several of my highly trusted tools and they are spot on. For instance.. stack the ¾” & ¼” next to the main 1” block and they match seamlessly. Take the 9/32” & 15/32” stacked next to the 23/32” block and you’ll rightfully so be off set by 1/32” as it should. I highly recommend them and support all the great feedback prior purchasers that I relied on to try them. I will say that the free square that comes with it is all dark blue to include the ingrained numbers & measurements. If you’re patient enough and willing to you can easily fill them in with a gold, silver or white crafting pen. To me it’s worth it when I have more down time. ... show more

    • This my be my best amazon product of the last year.
I have been looking for some setup gauges to use in my wood working shop. They are all over the place in terms of style, accuracy, durability, and price. Price is not as correlated with quality as you might expect. There are three types of setup gauges: Kreg type, the classic straight bar type (Rockler, Woodpecker, etc), and a combination of these, often including an angle gauge of questionable value. The Kreg design is the easiest to use, but the bar type is the most versatile. This versatility is the result of being able to stack blocks together to get more s. So, comsizesbine a 3/32 inch block with a 1/2 inch block to get a 19/32 block equivalent. What really blows me away about these blocks is their accuracy. I took 10 measurements of the blocks I received and all were within .0005 inches of the nominal level. A few were within the accuracy of my gauge to measure, for example, the 1/2 block was .5000. WOW. The pencil and speed square are a little quirky. But they do allow me to tell my friends, just buy the one with the speed square and the pencil! Over the last year I have purchased nearly 100 items ranging from about $2 to nearly $2000 on amazon. ... show more

As part of my complete garage remodel, I have found it necessary to make daily small precise measurements. Most of the time these are situations where a ruler, tape measure, or laser measure just won’t work. After some research, I came across these and thought that they could work well.
