After a bit of delay from FedEx it arrived on my doorstep. The box was a little bit gouged and beat up, but all corners were reinforced. Thankfully it was well packed enough that it was not damaged. FedEx driver even helped push it through my front door. Setup was moderate. It’s big and bulky, I did it by myself, carefully. Once the legs were screwed on, my biggest challenge was getting it inside my bed frame. Once I maneuvered and got it centered and plugged in, it’s a breeze. Mattress placed and retainer bar secured. Took a minute to figure out the remote. LED lights underneath are very cool. Motors are quiet and everything is working as expected. I’m writing this review with my head lifted and enjoying the massage feature. I was a bit skeptical about doing this on my own through Amazon but it is a huge savings compared to any mattress store and the quality so far appears excellent! I am looking forward to a good night’s sleep and hopefully a long lasting adjustable base. ... show more

I've only had this thing for an hour so we'll see how it holds up. But for now... I didn't think I'd be this pleased with this bed frame but WOW. For 1/3 the price of competitors? It's a steal. I didn't anticipate that it would come folded in half which makes it really easy to move apartments. And the modular leg system got me the perfect height. Very smooth and quiet motors. Articulates higher than you would ever need it to. And the massage motors! The lowest setting is by far the best because the low RPM is actually more soothing and less aggressive. Quiet enough to let me enjoy a movie and not to disturb my downstairs neighbors. I'm using a Purple mattress and there's no issue feeling them all the way through. Just wish they timed out after 30 mins instead of 10. After about 5 minutes in zero g with the massage running, you really start to feel the effect on your muscles and circulation. I'm so relaxed! Setup was SO easy. Plug n play. Ask a friend for help. The remote is intuitive and everything is right where I want it. Very clean & simple design. Well built & sturdy. Not an eyesore and still allows for plenty of under bed storage (avoiding the articulating arms). Seriously, if you're thinking about it you better pull the trigger on this thing ASAP. Came well packaged and well labeled to avoid damages. Open the box on the indicated side up for easier removal. The bed is folded and wrapped in a protective plastic sleeve (see photos). Easy setup, no tools needed. Once removed and unfolded, you find all you need is boxed and attached with zip ties to the undercarriage of the bed (see photo). The legs (6 in total) have layered sections that unscrew so you can add or remove height in increments (see photo). The legs have a hard plastic foot, which isn't bad, but we were afraid might scratch the hardwood floor. We attached felt tabs that had adhesive backing, just to be safe (see photo). Both beds easily fit into an existing bed frame when you remove the slats that support the old box spring (see photo showing one of the 2 in place). All the cords lay on the floor, much to the dismay of my lovely wife who like an easy to clean household. To maintain happiness in said household, I twist tied them up and out of the way onto the frame, taking care not to tie to any moving frame parts or where moving frame parts contact each other. There is a battery backup box that gets plugged in tandem with the power brick, incase of power outages. Good design thought here. They tell you in the instructions, and on a decal on the outside of the battery backup box, not to leave the batteries in as they, over long periods of time, can leak acid and ruin the box. This is true and power outages are rare but I didn't want to have to crawl under the bed to access the battery box the power ever did decide to go out. So, instead of having the wired battery box lay on the floor, I zip tied them to the base of our bed frame for easier access (see photo). VERY quiet , smooth and comfortable speed in operation. The under bed lighting is subtle and welcomed for those middle of the night relief breaks. 2 USB ports per bed are also welcome, too, placed at the outer edge under the head of the bed. Yes, under, not on the side. Once you have whatever charging cable plugged in here, you'll probably want to leave the cables plugged in there and plug/unplug the device you're charging instead. Not sure we will ever use the massage feature, which is a good design but kind of a novelty. We definitely wanted the ability to have memory presets, the one touch zero-G position, one touch anti-snore position (my wife thanks you) and the under bed lighting. The massage just happened to come with the package. Very well made, very quiet and very sad we didn't get one these YEARS ago. As a 54 year old male, the zero-G offers welcomed back relief (which has had herniated disc surgery). And my wife (who remains ageless) says she has never slept so well. The bed package we created was completely from Amazon and for thousands (yes, thousands) less than an area chain store quoted us. Having done extensive research incl reading hundreds of reviews of the major brands of adjustable beds we chose the e4 split California King from Blissful Nights. It has the most features for the least price (about half the major brands products!), it is whisper quiet when adjusting, appears very well constructed and thoughtfully laid out, is very stable, and is e . . . er, not complicated to assemble. However, it is very heavy, so two people recommended to muscle it into place. But I did do most of the actual assembly by myself and I'm 74 yrs old! The instructions are not very thorough so you will have to figure out a few things for yourself, but it's not too tricky. Delivery was a nightmare because it wasn't Amazon but FedEx. While promised a two day delivery, as of the second afternoon it hadn't even been scanned into their shipping hub despite having been picked up the previous morning. Then they sent it to Stockton, CA whereas we're on the Monterey Bay, so we received the bed base on the 5th day. I have no complaints about Blissful Nights, my direct contacts with them have gone well. ... show more
