I upgraded to outdoor 4 from outdoor 3. Adding outdoor 3 cameras to new sync module went smoothly. Quality on 4 cameras is definitely better than 3 cameras. New extended range works well. No connectivity issues.

Recently installed, but so far so good. Simple install. Good distance reception. Potential features should be good. I have several Blink cameras and for the price and what I need they're a good value. Sure, there are limits. but when Amazon runs a sale, they can't be beat. My only complaint is the paid subscription charge for additional features and the cloud. Like I said I have several cameras under the old system which includes the cloud. It's like they addicted us to the camera and then sprung the additional charge on us. AWS is big and very profitable for Amazon. It would be nice if they could show their appreciation to loyal customers and provide it for free. Oh well, it would be nice. ... show more

I thought this would not only store video but allow for wireless retrieval. No such luck. You have to remove micro SD card and plug it into a computer. System will not work remotely without monthly subscription.

Review #1 - Date 11/10/2024 - "The Testing Phase": ----- Meaning I just got this & 1 of many New Gen 4 Outdoor Cameras. I have a huge Blink Camera System that consists of "8" Sync Modules (Including this one). So I have 8 Camera Zones that have a total of "23" Blink Cameras. All up and running seamlessly with usually no Drops or Offline Cameras. I do this so I can have some ARMED ALL THE TIME & Others ARMED ONLY When I Need Them, they are Inside & Outside of my house.. A Couple are EXTRA ZONES with extra cameras so they can be moved them around as or if needed. ----- I got this All-new Blink Sync Module XR — System Hub to see if it really works as they (Blink) say it dose. I am hopping it dose Because I would like a couple of Cameras Out Further from My House so I can See more of my land & A couple looking Back Towards My House. All my cameras are always plugged in and waiting or watching. I set up this All-new Blink Sync Module XR — System hub & I will Give it 4 Stars for now because I did just set it up and put a The Gen 4 Outdoor Camera (That came as a bundle) about 125' from the Sync Module, it was in my basement and had to go through 2 inside walls, 1 outside wall then out to the end of my fence. It worked the very first time. Not with great connections but it was more responsive than some of my other Cameras including Gen 4 Cameras that are closer & they all have 100% connection to there Sync Module 2 & Router. I will move the Sync Module Hub around my house hook it to a closer router ( I have 3). I will also PLUG the Gen 4 Camera in to a power supply (AS ARE ALL MY CAMERAS) & remove the batteries. I have noticed that ALL MY CAMERAS work better with a constant power supply. Blink Cameras are GREAT. I Love them & find them very dependable and at a very decent price when they are on sale. ----- I will update this review after a few weeks of testing. ... show more

I was so excited when I received notification that Blink had an extended module that could work up to 400 feet from my house. Not disappointing! I am now able to see who is on my property in an area I couldn't see before. I just unplugged my existing module and plugged in the new module and voila. No messing with those complicated wifi extenders. Picture is wonderful and you can set up 2 extended cameras and up to 10 total cameras. So glad I made this purchase. I have 10 blinks they are great for security, the have a good picture day or night . They detect everything and the people only feature on the 4 works better than Ring
