Description

The BlenderBottle Classic V2 Shaker Bottle is built off the design of the iconic BlenderBottle Classic, with an upgraded look, and feature updates—including a rounded base and SpoutGuard—that make it easy to maintain proper nutrition on-the-go. The patented mixing system—with a 316 surgical- grade stainless steel BlenderBall wire whisk that moves inside the bottle to smooth out mixes—makes it ideal for protein shakes, smoothies, fiber drinks, and meal replacements. A wide mouth makes it easy to add ingredients, and the rounded base ensures thorough mixing and easy cleanup. Bottle contents and liquids are securely contained by a tightly threaded screw-on lid that creates a leakproof seal, and an ergonomic flip cap that snaps securely shut for shaking and transportation (fits in most cupholders). A SpoutGuard makes it possible to open the flip top without touching the drinking spout, to keep the mouthpiece clean. Embossed markings show both ounces and milliliters for easy measuring. The BlenderBottle Classic V2 Shaker Bottle can also be used as a water bottle. I got both V1 and V2; here's a comparison. V1 - The original. Clear, matte bottle with flat bottom, volume measurements on opposite vertical sides. Hard for me to see the measurement lines so I sharpie-d my most-used ounce levels on it. Never leaks. Never had an issue with powder remaining at the bottom after shaking, but I always add powder after liquid. Cleans really well in the dishwasher. V2 - Supposedly an upgrade. Shape is nearly the same as original. Bottle is smooth in texture, shinier. There are 2 transparent strips on opposite vertical sides; one strip is blank, one has volume measurements. I feel the blank strip is wasted real estate. They could've put the volume measurements on that side as well, which would avoid me having to turn the bottle around to see measurements. The bottom of this version has a rounded inner base which sort of nests the steel ball. The purpose of the rounded base is to avoid powder from settling into a right-angled (roughly) ring at the bottom. I've not had that issue, as I add liquid first. Does fine in the dishwasher, though sometimes the rounded base catches and keeps a little water in the lip there. Doesn't leak. Steel ball looks to be the same as V1. There's a little handle or something on the top of the lid, which V1 doesn't have. I don't need or use it because I only use these at home. Overall, functionally they do the exact same thing. If you find you have issues with a powder ring around the bottom and/or travel with your bottle, I'd recommend V2. Otherwise, V1 is fine. Consider bottle texture preference and pricing too. When I bought these, V2 was cheaper than V1 for some reason. Hope this is helpful. ... show more

I drink Huel for breakfast before work, every morning. It's great at what it does. But the Huel-branded shaker you get with your first order, not my favorite. It's nice, and works well enough but I have trouble with the stuff clumping up regularly. It's also so wide it doesn't fit in my car's drink-holders! Those problems, and more, solved by this affordable, yet soooo effective shaker bottle. First, I should mention that while I cancelled my order from Amazon for this product, it's only because I happened upon one at my local Wal-Mart by accident that very morning. Figured what the heck, same price but I get it immediately. I will be buying more of these shortly and I plan to go straight from Amazon (free shipping rules and I'm not actually -that- local to Wal-Mart.) I was immediately happy with this thing. Typically, so much of our lives is spent overlooking the simple things, like shaker bottles. You think it works till it doesn't, or in my case, something just works better. I find this bottle requires less shaking overall. This may not mean much to most, but I like knowing I can have a perfectly blended shake in less than 2 minutes total. The included blender ball is a game changer. Such a simple concept, yet works splendid. No more clumps in the shake. The included handle makes it easy to clip onto a bag or carry, and is separate from the cap so you don't have to worry about it yanking open at any time. It's virtually leak-proof as I've not been able to get it to leak even under extreme circumstances. An underrated feature is the design. I love that the branding is quiet, which I could not say for the Huel shaker. I absolutely do not mind marketing Huel as I've used it now for nearly two years and find it to be an exceptional meal-replacement that tastes great. But it gets old having people ask me -every time- what Huel is. I can avoid repeating the same answer 6x a day now. Finally, this thing just cleans up sooo easily. Not that the Huel shaker was difficult to clean, but this one is just so simple. Everything slides right off and nothing gets caught against hard edges. The lid and ball clean up equally as well, with no problems getting around the mouth and cap. If I had one gripe, it's that on the darker bottle you cannot see the measurements clearly. This doesn't bother me personally, as I don't really measure the liquid I mix (usually coffee) but I can see how others may be put off by it. I would recommend a subtle line at each 100ml mark in a contrasting color. Honestly this really is just a nitpick. I will be recommending this to everyone that inquires, for sure. I've been using my shaker for at least 6 months and the quality has not decreased in the slightest. My bottle has only a few scuff marks from dropping it while at work and working out, which is only a testament to the durability of this thing. There is a little notch on the bottle head, i guess you would call it a holder, and even that thing is still going strong. Materials and manufacturing are on point. The only problem I've noticed with this bottle is inside of the groove the bottle head threads onto the bottle body there is an O-ring seal to prevent leaks. That seal is particularly difficult to clean and can cause mold and bacteria growth which is an obvious problem. I've tried to wash it using a sponge, a multi-fauceted sinkhead with a shower jet and a pan scrubber to try to clean any particles out but nothing really worked well. Now I just use a few Q-tips with soap on them to reach inside. Clean your bottle after every use if you use it for more than just water. There is also a metal ball stirrer that comes with the bottle to help shake up any sediment left at the bottom of the bottle, that is particularly easy to clean because you can flatten it down and scrub with a sponge. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. After the first use, I was very happy with this purchase. It is a nice size, mixes well, and is easy to use. It is advertised as top rack dishwasher safe. After its first wash on the top rack it no longer closes. When you close the lid, it pops back up (see video). Since I make my shakes for lunch in the morning, I can no longer use this product.
