I love paint by number for a relaxing hobby that I don't have to think about and I can just empty my mind at night. The paints are pretty easy to apply to the canvas, but one complaint I have is sometimes the lighter colors can be harder to fully cover the numbers and lines on the canvas so I find I have to go over them again once the first coat is dry. That isn't enough for me to not love these paint kits though because once the picture is completed it's absolutely beautiful and I love seeing the definition of the painting come together as more paint is added. ... show more

I have gotten other paint by number kits in the past. Some of them have just been a thick paper that has the design on it for you to paint. I really like this kit because it is a canvas you paint on instead of just paper. It makes you feel like you are really doing a free hand painting instead of working by numbers. Beyond the canvas the kit is nice the paints are easy to use. The pattern is nice and clear and easy to follow. I am not a big painter and dont have the time or creativity to come up with my own designs. So I like kits that this. It gives me the experience of doing the painting without coming up with my own designs. For me it is more relaxing that way. I have been very happy with this kit and would get it again. ... show more

This is such a pretty picture to paint. I ordered the one with the blue pickup truck and sunflowers. I thought it would be a larger print, but I am glad it is not any bigger than it is after opening it! It comes with paintbrushes and paints and I am sure someone did the math to make certain it is enough paint, so I hope it is! The print and numbers are extremely detailed as well as very very tiny. If you struggle with your up-close vision, you will need a pair of readers or a craft magnifying glass while you are painting. I am going to lay the print flat under some heavy books for a few days to smooth it out before I get started and then will likely tape the edges to the painting table to keep it in place. Overall, it is a very thorough and complete kit. Would be good to take on an extended vacation if you like going places where there is not a lot to do other than relax. I am excited to see how it turns out! Would also be a great gift for anyone you know who loves to paint and likes a little guidance. ... show more
