  • Awesome amp for the money
This is the best amp you're going to get in this price range. If you're trying to compare it to a $300-$400 amp, of course it's not as good. Plays loud and crystal clear. Excellent product for a low budget sound system that performs great. The actual dimensions are 8.6 x 7.5 x 2.1 (9.5 counting the mounting flange) I was able to mount it under the fairing of my 15 Street Glide but I had to modify the amp tray so it's definitely not a direct fit for that type of application. I would definitely recommend this amp and will probably buy another for my truck ... show more

  • Rocking my JL Tower Speakers
My old amp went belly up after 5 years, it was a bad marine grade because it was all rusty even with very little use in the ocean and being in a fully enclosed compartment. Initially I looked into other marine grade amps and stumbled across this Blaupunkt, a brand that stands for quality and I always liked. Since I was only looking for a simple amp to drive the two JL tower speakers though this would do the job. Upon receiving I was impressed with how well it was packaged, very nice box and well protected inside. Once I opened was immediately blown away by the build quality, great sturdy feel and with much better terminals than the old, and did I mention double the size. Although not as compact as the old amp, it just screams quality. This is a car amp and only time will tell how well it will hold up in marine environment. After installing turned it on and the sound was crisp and clean. Although the old sounded good too it always had low hiss when listening very close to the speakers with no sound, with Blaupunkt there is no hiss. After adjusting the gain to 50% and setting the base to max and volume louder was very satisfied With the crisp, dynamic and clean sound, perfect for a day on the water. ... show more

  • Tons of power, no issues so far
Using 2 GRS 10 subs in my Focus sedan trunk with this and it pushes them to their limit. I haven't used the filter/eq controls on it, I run it full range and do all that at the head unit, sounds great. I imagine it'd be even better with some name brand subs.

  • Excellent for the price!
Compact size that fits behind my factory panels to replace a stock amp. Using it to run a pioneer 8" sub in factory sub position. Not going to win a competition but doing exactly what I expected and working great.

  • Great Basic Car Audio Amp
This is a great basic amp for upgrading car audio; not crazy powerful but good clean sound. This amp will demand some amperage to function properly; minimum 8ga. wiring and dedicated 40A fuse straight from the battery. I suggest using an 8ga. ground circuit straight to the battery as well for trouble-free power delivery. This amp will get hot when running hard; proper ventilation will be important to prevent overheating. It is capable of driving 4-ohm speaker loads, but the use of 8-ohn units will reduce power consumption and heat generation. Take the time to tune the gain control and high or low-pass filters to work with your head unit / speaker combination; I prefer a test-tone CD recorded at 0db, but just playing some well produced music will work as well. ... show more

  • Gets hot cuts off
Hooked this up to a 6.5 sub this thing gets hot and shuts off after about two bumps it’s maxed out the amps actually more like 500w it’s no where near what it says as I’m hooked in 2ohm

  • A $50 amp - but ignore the specs
Under the seat of a Jeep Wrangler driving the overhead soundbar speakers, it works great. 750W, 1500W? A total joke. It's a $50 amp and that's it. I put a $250 Focal 105W/Ch (I needed something compact) on the front speakers and haven't heard the back speakers since. Can't even tell it's on unless I fade to 80% rear. It's a get what you pay for business, and this is worth the price, just ignore the claims. If you are looking for something loud to drown out the wind/engine noise/whatever, this is not your amp. If you want something louder than a non-premium factory set-up it's worth the price, just ignore the numbers. I'd call it 50W/ch at best. (I was in the car stereo business 1984-1994, I think this is a realistic estimate.) ... show more
