The media could not be loaded. I bought this to be translucent, which it is if you press it down with your hands. But if you want better adhesion you should roll over it with a wheel or something. It's the color and sheen of regular scotch tape (not crystal clear), so imagine it going from translucent to transparent like when you run your nail across scotch tape. It is plenty sticky, and I only had minors issue with the packaging (rolled up) causing bubbles. It's also what I would call a normal amount of grippy, maybe 100 grit sandpaperish. The primary difference between this and a regular black tape is that the plastic layer is a little thicker and less stretchy, so the ends tend to catch on things and want to peel up just a little. It came rolled up it was hard to keep unrolled so had to put my board on top of it for a day or two to make it flat. It cut out easy. Photos included so you can see sheerness

I bought this to stick on the back of my longarm rulers. The tape is rough and grips my fabric very well. Almost to well sometimes. I actually had to remove a few pieces. Luckily this is easy to apply and easy to come off. If you use this on your rulers, do not let your rulers rub together. This will scratch the acrylic. Thankfully I read that tip somewhere before I applied it. There is plenty of grip tape on one roll so I honestly don't see me ever having to buy another roll.
