The size 00 is listed as for a Glock 23. A Glock 23 gen 5 does not fit and will get stuck and take about 20 minutes to work it free. Cant say anything more about the holster as the fun ended with my pistol stuck.

Have been using a cheap universal drop for years. Often at the issue of repositioningvandcsagging a single belt point. Thus new rig is solid, strong, best retentionnyet simple & fast to draw with a proper grip and natural motion. Makes me wish i wouod gave saved my money on cheap ones and bought this yearsc ago. I was sceptical at first. Especially after reading some of the reviews. I wasn't really looking forward to modifying it to fit a 5 inch barrel. To my amazement no modification was needed. My gun clipped in perfectly, as if it was molded specifically for my gun. I like that it has two belt clips rather than one as well as two leg clips. Very comfortable to wear. Thus far no issues. I would definitely recommend this product. Especially since finding tactical leg holsters for Springfield xd's is nearly impossible. ... show more

    • Over all it's the only holster for the XD tactical around and I modify all my gear so It now work great, but not out of the box

XD 45 Tactical - As others have stated, must be modified to fit. Used a dremel to open up muzzle end allowing the 5" barrel to protrude about a half and inch. Also cut that thumb release in half because it didn't allow for a firm grip on the handgun, still functions, only will be put down during travel to protect night sights, left up on patrol. Over all it's the only holster for the XD tactical around and I modify all my gear so It now work great, but not out of the box. ... show more

Price fluctuates often, I was able to pick this up for a very good deal. Most Blackhawk items have a lifetime warranty, this holster was fantastic. You have the availability of switching platforms for multiple firearms, just need to purchase additional holsters.

While I am unable to speak to other’s … displeasure with this holster, it is outstanding for my Beretta 92FS. The locking mechanism is a little tight, and cannot be disengaged when upward pressure is applied. This is not a problem for me as it is nothing that will impede a draw with little more than nominal practice - or simply loosening the locking nut. Quality is outstanding, and the position of the holster helps facilitate a smooth draw, allowing me to “pop” both locks and disengage my safety in a fluid motion. It seems to me that people who have issues with this holster (or Beretta’s in general) are unwilling to train to their equipment. The safety features for both are more important to me than how dissimilar it is from other offerings. If you are looking for a thigh holster for your Beretta 92FS – I don’t think you could find anything better than this offering from BLACKHAWK! ... show more

Chose this unit for its practicality as well as its versatility. Unit works exactly as advertised, however found the trigger guard release to be a bit touchy. Had to adjust the tension a little to get it where I wanted it. I found you can't release the thumb security device, depress the trigger guard release, and simply pull the handgun out of the unit. You have to release the thumb security device, depress the trigger release, apply a slight downward pressure on the pistol grip, then pull the handgun out of the unit. Didn't like it at first but found under stress, that's what I do anyway as my hand slams down on pistol getting ready for a fight. Lastly, unit I bought was for standard Springfield XDM 45 4.5" Barrel. I slightly modified it for the XDM 45 Competition with 5.25" Barrel. Couldn't find a Blackhawk Serpa for 5.25" Barrel. Mod easy to do with dremel tool, now barrel slightly protrudes from bottom of holster. This holster is SWEET. ... show more

been using for a year now with the only real problem being the straps. There are elastic cords integrated into the straps. Those Elastic cords are fraying and ripping on the surfaces where the Strap receives friction. The belt strap could be replace with metal clips to secure to the belt rather than a triple layer Velcro. ... show more
