Desptie some recent issues from government and some individuals having unintended discharge of their pistols, the evidence shows lack of regular training with it. As you draw, pushing the button can put your index finger in line with the trigger (possible discharge). Proper training keeps the index finger toward the front so that finger ends up on the (I'm a rightie) FRAME, not in the trigger well. I and friends who like them have NEVER had such a discharge! The advantage of being able to leave the gun in the holster when detaching from your belt also provides NO chance of accidental shooting one's self. Then a separate holstered pistol with the same setup can be hung on. Gun Safety First includes practicing and paying attention even in self defense situations. This holster does secure the P365XL under normal retention. However, the feature of the inability to release the gun while actively pulling on the weapon is a great idea but fails in practical application. With actual force's of a struggle, this feature is unreliable, and the gun will release. Next, the gun is secure in the up and down direction of draw, but there is too much play on the front and back motion of the gun while in the holster. Over all, it's a good holster with descent carry options, but refinement of the design is needed for a more secure fitment of the gun. ... show more

Does not fit Sig P365 X Macro :'( I like this model holster I have for my Beretta, so want this for my new Sig, but it appears Blackhawk doesn't make one yet. Will return and explore other brands in the mean time.

    • Not a perfect fit for P365, rattles
I have used a Blackhawk for my every day carry of a Glock 42 for several years. I love the retention and comfort of the OWB Blackhawk for concealed carry. I recently upgraded my carry gun to a Sig P365. Unfortunately this holster is not a perfect fit. The gun rattles when I walk; not good for concealed carry. I tried to tighten the retention screw but it pulled through before the rattling stopped. I returned for another which had the same problem. I added some felt padding to the holster below the trigger guard and barrel which stopped the rattle. The holster seems to be designed for the P365xl so is longer than the gun by about 1/2 inch; not a significant problem. Overall this is my favorite OWB holster since it’s comfortable and I never have to worry about my weapon falling out no matter how rough my activities or my position. ... show more

I've had a lot of holsters over the years and this is a good one! I like the fact that it comes with both belt and paddle options instead of them trying to join both into one attachment. I use the paddle and it is comfortable and stable My 365XL with Holosun fits perfectly. It slides in and out with no friction yet locks securely in place. I read another review that said there was some play but I've experienced zero with mine, no play at all. I was lucky enough to get this on a Black Friday deal for $20 so a complete bargain! This is a great option if you're looking for a perfect fit that holds strong yet, hopefully, won't cause a lot of wear ... show more

So far, so good. It keeps the Sig Sauer P365 snug. The hip attachment helps when you have the extra 17 round magazine. I hope it last.
