The platform comes in smallish flat package and weighs about 36 lbs; mine was missing several bolts which was awkward, but I managed. Best done with good lighting and extra room. It can be assembled by one person, but would be easier with two, at least at the beginning when you try to get the parts to align. My only "complaint" so far, is the mattress slips around a great deal on the frame. I wish there was some way of anchoring the bed, but all in all I am quite happy with my new bed frame. ... show more

So this bed did arrive a day later than scheduled no fault to seller was a shipping issue but it was certainly worth the wait. The instructions were wonderfully illustrated and concise and each part was easily discernible by the pics even better they were actually labeled too!! This was relatively easy to put together, hands-down, and the fastest that I’ve ever done any type of instructions. I love how it makes the height and their space in the bottom for any type of storage or if your kids wanna play not a big deal, but this really was a good investment in my opinion
