I got these to stake down our trampoline because we live in a hurricane area. But our trampoline just has rod that touch the ground, nothing that can be stacked. When I picked these I read the dimensions and envisioned them, but that still didn't fully prepare me for how large and weighty these stakes are in person! Wow, they are some burly and tough stakes, and exactly what I wanted for holding down my canopy tents through coastal winds. These stakes have sharp points on them, and were easy to hammer into the ground with a mallet. Once they were fully sank, they get a good bite in the ground and strongly hold my tents' tie downs in place. The coating on these stakes seems thick and durable, and resistant to rusting. These heavy duty and durable stakes can be used for securely anchoring a variety of outdoor purposes, and I'm quite satisfied with their function. These spikes are strong and versatile. My first use was to hold down a shade tent in breezy conditions. They were easy to drive in the ground with a mallet and they stayed put despite the winds best effort to lift the shade cover. I also used them in the garden to temporarily hold down a windmill decoration while we fixed the ground were we wanted the item to be. The ground in the area is a bit rocky but the spikes were not damaged at all (no bending). Since they work so well, I will probably use them at Christmas time to hold down some of our yard decorations. These spikes are a 100% win and must have for any outdoor usage. ... show more

These metal stakes are extra heavy duty. Made from ¼ inch rebars that has been coated with paint, they should remain rust free for many years. The stakes are 12 inches long, have a sharp point and have a “J” hook on the top. These stakes are very versatile, can be used for camping, gardening, securing fencing, swing sets, trampolines and Christmas decorations. The inside of for “J” hook is about 1& ¾ inches, perfect for securing a garden hose to the ground. I use these when running garden hose through flower beds where I want the hose securely anchored to protect the flowers.
