Sturdy, lightweight, spring loaded return, threaded locking mechanism. I use them at the beach to attach hammocks to straps and they began to show some signs of rusting, but it is merely aesthetic and will not compromise integrity for millennia to come.

Works fine but I needed them for belaying. Don’t buy the tear shaped if you are using these for belay. Black Diamond has another carabiner that works better for belaying.

It's an overkill for a hammock, but since I like hanging mine near the cliffs, these carabiners add a peace of mind. Safety cable still recommended :)
