These come with two extra rod sections - a short and a longer one - in addition to the two ends. You have to screw in one of two rod sections. So your rod will be 24” or 48”. There is no in between because they do not slide into one another to adjust the size.

Unless you wanted to drop $100/rod, you were left with some cheap material. This rod allowed me to get the perfect length I needed for this window. The segments easily screw into one another, and it took minutes to assemble and mount. I love how it looks! It does come with a mount for the center, but I didn’t use it, as it supports the weight of the curtains fine!
